    Dear posters and lurkers alike:

With the NBA labor strife potentially claiming all of the upcoming season, and the Bulls recent drafting of Nikola Mirotic, I have made the decision to adopt Real Madrid as my surrogate franchise. The franchise is loaded with young talent including Ante Tomic (drafted by the Jazz), who may just be the best young European center, and Sergio Llull, a spark plug point guard who apparently doesn't need vowels. But the question is how do you watch the games?

ESPN offers a ton of ready to access games and matches on their subsite, ESPN 3. Among the content is six or seven Real Madrid Euroleague games featuring Nikola Mirotic. I've watched them all, and it's a relatively decent if inconsistent product. The streaming quality can be very good, though it fluctuates, and it's nice to have instant access to all the content.

Well . . . we don't get anything if we don't ask. I hope some of you who are of similar leanings will take thirty seconds and ask ESPN 3 to carry the games.

The four steps to petition ESPN 3

    1. Go to or click on http://espn.go.com/espn3/.
    2. Click on the "Feedback" tab at the top of the page. A popup box will open. Change the category to "programming" and leave a valid email address.
    3. Ask ESPN 3 in a polite way to carry more Real Madrid basketball games!
    4. Bump this thread and let people know that you've submitted the request.

If you are of the lazier variety, you're more than welcome to use the following text, which you can cut and paste into the submission form:
