I caught an ESPN blurb about it..... but I missed it.

What did they say? Did he really have a 2nd surgery? When?

Yes he did have one, 17 days after the first one in order to clean up a slight complication.

He needed 80 stitches and it makes sense why he took 6 weeks to heal (he was expected to be out for 4-6 weeks max, obviously with another surgery this would extend the amount of time towards a later date).

He hid it because he didn't want his opponents taking any extra shots at his knee. He told CBS this last Sunday because his knee is now 100%, and he doesn't give a shit anymore if his foes know (thank you early season bye week too). :D
