I love Rajon Rondo as the PG of the future, but I also like the strong play of Delonte West. Oh, and there is Telfair who is sort of the odd man out. IMO Rondo should be the leader from this point on, and maybe have West as the sixth man or combo guard. All of the sudden, the Celtics roster could possibly look like thisG Rajon RondoSG Wally SizerbiakSF Paul PiercePF Al JeffersonC Greg OdenThat could be one of the best lineups in the East. With the leadership of Pierce, the rest of the young guys could fight for a playoff spot! Who do you guys want as the PG? I also say Telfair should be traded.Happy Celtics Day!
Why is Greg Oden on this list? Don't even do that, especially after what just happened. But there is no point guard controversy, in 9/10 fan's opinion. Delonte West is a 2-guard and Rondo is clearly the best point guard on the team and the point guard of the future. To me, there is no reason why Rondo shouldn't start next year unless we bring in a good veteran point. I see Delonte traded this summer.

This team has way too many wings, Delonte is another one of them.
Lol, I guarantee you guys won't get Oden, but yes you'll get a high pick. And keep in mind a couple of those guys will be injured with your luck.
Ehh...The C's really dont have a PG situation...Rondo is obviously the key PG for this team, and Delonte will get alot of minutes at the SG spot. Wally will probably be out next year, so you can get rid of him, and then he is going to have to share minutes to a Allen who wont be fully healthy, and then Gerald to get minutes. West will also get PG minutes and Telfiar is the odd man out right now obviously...He screwed up earlier this year.
I'd like to see Boston bring in a veteran point guard if there is one out there. If we could get a vet to start/backup or share that with Rondo I think our PG position will be great next year. Rondo has been putting up Jason Kidd-like numbers many nights. He always has a good mixture of points, boards, and assists. He's also as quick as they come on the defensive end and can make a lot of steals. Wally won't last half a season probably. I still don't see why we couldn't put Gerald at the 2. He doesn't play great defense, isn't a passer, but he can shoot the lights out and be an athletic scorer. Pierce can play the 3 very well, he's a rebounder, can pass, and has the size. I like the lineup of....RondoGreenPierceAl JOden (if we can get him)
I'm with CB32 here. Rondo is the point guard for this team for next year and beyond. He's proven his worth here, and definitely will be a player, while Delonte is a 2-guard and should see his time there. There is no controversy.
