[April 26, 2005] According to ESPN.com's Ric Bucher, Kobe Bryant and Phil Jackson are scheduled to meet this week. Hopefully thursday. The Lakers are currently without a coach and Phil Jackson is rumored to be on top of the Lakers choices. Larry Brown, Flip Saunders, and Paul Silas have been rumored to be on the list as well. If Phil Jackson was to return to L.A., he would receive around $10 million a year. PJ signed a 5-year contract in 2000 for $30 million to be the coach of the LA Lakers. Hopefully, Kobe and Phil Jackson can put the problems they had behind them and return as coach of the Lakers. During Kobe's exit interview this week, Kobe was quoted, "I'm open-minded to whoever they decide to bring back. hmm.. who could that be, Del Harris? kidding
hey man that would be awesome if phil came back but we are runing out of options for the coach. i just hope we can get one of those guys
I heard they have no had a meeting as of yet from ESPN.com. I believe that it would be good to have them meet much before next season if indeed Pjax is coming back
