Iowa has promoted defensive backs coach Phil Parker to defensive coordinator as part of a staff shakeup. Parker replaces Norm Parker (no relation), who announced his retirement in December after 13 seasons at the school. Phil Parker has spent the past 13 seasons coaching defensive backs at Iowa after spending the previous 11 seasons coaching defensive backs at Toledo.
