@ Philadelphia 76ers @ Los Angeles Clippers (14-14) (11-12) Friday, December 26th, 2003 @ 10:30 PM EST Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA TV: CSN, NBALP Philadelphia Starters Center- Samuel Dalembert Power Forward- Kenny Thomas Small Forward-Glenn Robinson Shooting Guard- Greg Buckner Point Guard- Eric Snow Los Angeles Starters Center- Chris Kaman Power Forward- Elton Brand Small Forward- Quentin Richardson Shooting Guard- Corey Maggette Point Guard- Marko Jaric Philadelphia Key Player - Kyle Korver; 4th in 3P% in NBA (.457), 21/46 3P Los Angeles Key Player - Elton Brand; 17.6 PPG, 12.3 RPG, 2.8 APG The Answer's Prediction Both teams are at or around the .500 mark so this could be even. Both teams are coming off a win, especially Clippers remarkable win against Dallas. Sixers look very unhealthy now since Kenny Thomas is marked out with flu-like symptoms and McKie has a sprained left hamstring from the game against the Magic, Monday night. Im guessing Clippers will become victorious still being hot against a great team like the Mavericks. I may be wrong, but we just have to wait for the final buzzer to see what turns out. --------------------------------------------------------- Edited- This game could be different. Kenny Thomas will actually play. This will be a major boost in pts and rebs for the 76ers. Now my favor is kind of leaning toward the Sixers. McKie still remains out but Sixers atleast have 3/5 starters on the floor. Predictions? Thoughts? Comments?
Well to inform you all I still do not know how the starting line-up will look since the injuries are the same from 12/23. If any news please post it in this thread so I can edit the Preview. Thanks. BTW- Any predictions? Game is tommorow pretty late since its out west (10:30)
Wow Korver is a key player? lol I would imagine Glenn Robinson would be, but its your preview. Korver has justr been hot, shootin threes, Glenn can do a little more, thats why I would give him the Key. Sixers and Clippers are playin great basketball, I also think this is gonna be a great game. If Brand and Maggette have monster games, we have no chance to win. We gotta play some team basketball and great defense to win this game.
Playa- Dont worry, I did have Glenn in mind, but this kid earns the key for this match-up. He is a key fourth quarter option especially. His scoring has boosted the Sixers confidence without Iverson. He (and Glenn) will have to step up even more with 2 more starters out injured. (McKie, Thomas)

The Team was another considerating choice that was going around when I typed up that preview. No kidding! I struggled to find how to put that in my own words, but I will assure you, for a game with, or without AI, the key to the win will be the team.
I predict Philadelphia to give a great scrappy fight but I think they are too injury plagued to face the Clippers. But if Iverson comes back thats a diffrent story.
I agree with clock, but the 76ers are a tough team even without Iverson. I know that Iverson can put the icing on the cake but if they play with confidence they will pull off this victory. 76ers by 3
Quite funny that Kyle Korver is put in the same sentance as Elton Brand.Won't see that often.Clippers should win this one..Don't see how they won't...They are easily better at nearly every spot on the floor.
MVPlaya, why does this just one case when Allen is out have to spotlight on a teams effort, shouldn't it be like that every game? Even though Allen is one of the leagues best he still needs the team to help, and every game should be a team effort.

Yes even when Iverson plays they must still paly as a team, but he takes off work FROM the whole team. Thats just proven by how many points he scores a game, and gettin to the free-throws. Without AI they don't have a star, a go-to-guy so they gotta play as as team and pass, take good shots. With AI he'll do a lot of the work, and get to the line, etc. PS I get the game! They playin Clippers and all clippers and laker game comes on here... hell yea. Too bad AI ain't playin tho...
I'm not singling you out, I just want to talk, it's a message board after all. Yes, when Allen is playing they (the rest of the team) don't have to contribute as much, because he likes the pressure and he thrives off it, and that's why he is so good. Though, even when he is with them, they still have to contribute some, making them play like a team. If it was all left in his hands, we would be at the bottom right now. I think you just said what you meant to say wrong, in my eyes anyways. I think what you meant is that they need to play stronger, because of his absence.

I saw only a couple mins of the game, and Sixers were down by 10 when I left so I assume they caught back up. If Sixers played better in the 1st quarter, they would have got this game. Oh yea, and I don't Korver was a key player lol
Cuz he made one earlier in the year, but that still isn't a good reason. Cuz the Sixers are retarded. Thats a little better.
