    <font size="3">Bayern's Lahm sidelined</font></p><div class="txt_fliesstext_bold">FC Bayern suffered another injury setback when Philipp Lahm sustained medial ligament damage to his left knee while training with the Germany squad. </div>

    <div class="txt_fliesstext">The 23-year-old is definitely out of the Germans' Euro 2008 qualifier against Wales in Cardiff on Saturday and a friendly against Romania in Cologne the following Wednesday.

    "I feared the worst"

    "My boot caught in the turf when I was making a tackle,&rdquo; Lahm reported following his return to Munich on Friday. "There was a huge impact when my left knee hit the ground, it really dug into the turf. I almost blacked out, and I feared the worst.&rdquo;

    On Friday morning, Bayern chief medical officer Dr Hans-Wilhelm M&uuml;ller-Wohlfahrt confirmed the initial diagnosis made at St Mary's hospital in Bergisch-Gladbach the previous evening, confirming that the damage was restricted exclusively to the medial ligament.</div><div class="txt_fliesstext"></div><div class="txt_fliesstext">[​IMG]</div><div class="txt_fliesstext"></div><div class="txt_fliesstext"></div><div class="txt_fliesstext">Not good news for Bayern and Germany. </div>
