Phillies manager Charlie Manuel calls the summer months "hittin' weather." With unseasonably warm temperatures in April reaching the mid-80s, Philadelphia started its hitting a bit early.

Domonic Brown and Chase Utley homered in a five-run first, Kyle Kendrick threw six effective innings and the Phillies beat the New York Mets 7-3 Wednesday night.
