Brees Will Meet With Dolphins... Posted on: 2006-03-06 [Miami Herald] Even though quarterback Gus Frerotte is expected to be released this week, the team should be able to move quickly in free agency. A source indicated Sunday night that Pro Bowl quarterback Drew Brees will ask to visit Miami shortly after free agency opens if, as expected, he can't work out a contract extension with San Diego. In addition, the Dolphins are awaiting to see what will happen with Washington backup Patrick Ramsey. If the CBA is not extended, it's expected that Ramsey will be cut by the Redskins, and he would be interested in playing for the Dolphins. If there is an extension, the Dolphins might part with a low-round draft pick for RamseyDolphins Expected To Pursue Ashworth... I could definitely see Brees in Miami next year--like some of you have said before, the Dolphins are just a QB away from being a good team. He might be the answer, I don't see many better options at QB in FA/Draft that the Dolphins could go with. Brees seems like he could be their kinda guy.
It was pretty obvious that Miami wanted Drew Brees. I hope Baltimore gets him, but if Miami gets him they'll be very dangerous next season. Drew Brees could work wonders with Chris Chambers.

Adams and Kevin Mawae are expected to sign as soon as FA starts. We are also interested in LJ Shelton from Cleveland.

(See La'Roi Glover to Rams and Whittle to Minnesota)Plus, considering the combined age of them is almost 75, would you really want them?
