Curtis Borchardt is Utah's starter, but Mehmet Okur gets the majority of minutes. Stoudemire is a great scorer and rebounder, and his play is a big part of the Suns' success. He has good speed for a Center, and the defending C can't keep up with him usually. Okur has to somehow limit Stoudemire's points and rebounds. Mehmet has been playing well for Utah recently, he had a double double and a game winning tip in Utah's win over San Antonio (that sounds so good ). Both should put up some stats, I just don't think Okur has the speed to keep up with Stoudemire. Prediction Was Utah's latest game just a fluke? Or is it a sign of things to come? This game is hard to predict, as Phoenix played the day before and Utah beat an elite opponent in the Spurs shorthanded. But, just look at the records. Phoenix 104 Utah 97
I hope the last game wasn't a fluke. I think the Jazz will hang with the Suns, to finally the Suns will run away with the game. I think the Suns will win by 12. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Wow. What is going on here? I listened to this game on the radio..... another great game from everyone! Lopez had like 4 steals in the 1st quarter, in 6 minutes. ---------------------------- Okur- 21 pts, 17 reb, 4/4 ft (wow) Raja bell- 19pts, 6 reb Boozer- 8 pts, 6 reb Harpings- 16 pts, 3 assists, 2 steals Lopez- 14pts, 4 assists, 2/3 3PT'ers, 4 steals (WOW) Giricek- 10 pts, 6 reb, 2 assists, Eisley- 7pts, 1 steal Snyder+humphries- 6pts, 2 steals. Mcleod- 10pts, 5 reb, 11 assists ------------------------- Just look at these stats: Rebounds: Jazz 55, Suns 35 (Offensive 23-10) Assists: Jazz 25, Suns 14 Steals: Jazz 11, Suns 11 So another game where every single Jazz player plays awesome. Seems like the only way we can win. I told myself the other night that if Jazz beat Suns, we would go to the playoffs. I was joking of coruse, since I thought we would lose...... but now it seems within reach.
Bench Scoring Suns - 6 points Jazz - 67 points Another great game from the Jazz, I don't know how they did it, but they've started to turn around. I guess it just couldn't of got any lower . Mehmet Okur is starting to become one of the best Center's in this league. 17 rebounds, 10 Offensive! He's may be even cutting into Boozer's stats, just 8 points and 6 boards from him. Raja Bell had a great game too, 9-11 shooting, 19 points and 6 rebounds. Box Score - Makes for some interesting reading
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Stockton:</div><div class="quote_post">Bench Scoring Suns - 6 points Jazz - 67 points</div> This is what we have to do if we want to win games, our bench has the ability to be deadly. Our bench was putting out numbers like this when we were 6-1, I hope they have finally got back to that form. But by the look of the Kings game, I don't know.
