Poenix' New Uniforms !! .. they're hot ! <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">If the Suns need help building more locker space, they?ve got a definite ?in.? The team unveiled their newest uniform today at a press conference at The Home Depot at 43rd Ave. and Camelback Rd. The retail chain is sponsoring the Suns? home opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, Oct. 30, and the players will sport their bright new look that night. Much like the colors of the home improvement sponsor, think orange? really orange. ?Whoa, it?s loud,? an excited Stephon Marbury said of his first reaction to the new threads. ?It?s bright, but it says a lot.? ?It?s hot,? Shawn Marion agreed. The Suns aren?t ditching their home whites just yet. The orange attire is actually a road alternate uniform, meaning the team can sport them in place of the solid purple unis when away from America West Arena. Even though the uniform is officially for away games, the NBA recognizes that unless a die-hard fan literally joins a team on the road, it?d be somewhat expensive and inconvenient to see the new look in person. So, any team with a new road uniform is allowed to don their new duds for hometown fans a limited number of times a season. ?To have that uniform embraced by the home fans,? NBA Senior Director of Apparel Christopher Arena said, ?we?re going to allow the team to wear it four times at home.? Future dates to see the ?Orangemen? at AWA include: Jan.9 vs. Sacramento, Feb. 22 vs. the Lakers and April 13 against the Clippers. </div> I love em .. kinda remind me of Syracus' ... but those r so bright and nice !
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting twolvefan11:</div><div class="quote_post">They are OK. I think they should have spelled Phoenix all out. Is this replacing the purple ones?</div> No. Sometimes on the road the Suns will wear those in place of the purple ones, but for the most part the purple ones will continue to be the main road unis.
What's up with the three letter spelling of Phoenix? Who was the lazy bumb who thought that up? Imagine if all of the league's jerseys were abbreviated. Kidd would be wearing NJN, Kobe would be sporting LAL, Webber would be prancing around in SAC. Simply crazy, eh?
The PHX thing is kinda weird, but those look really nice. *Next time, make sure you provide a link to the article you post.
I pass actually, reminds me too much of Cleveland Browns uni's, and that ain't pretty. I would still buy an Amare to support him though.
Nice to see reality finally coming to this thread. Now someone please rename it and fix the spelling error!
Fixed it I can't say that I like those...not something I would wear around the streets...but I'm not a Suns fan so there we go..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kvh4fan:</div><div class="quote_post">i like the color. but i don't really care for the PHX.</div> Yea they would look cooler if they said PHOENIX or SUNS on it
I like it...it's original and it stands out from other teams...ruly the beginning of THE FUTURE (Amare)
Didn't the Suns just change their uniform a few seasons ago? These are an improvement, but until they shy away from the orange and purple combo, I'll pass on any jersey they make.
