Great being able to get my pic taken with Terry Porter. Been wanting to meet Mike Barrett in person for quite a while and finally got to. I was a little embarrased in the middle of that interview. I was viewing from the side behind of where the interview was being done and Ormond was in front of them taking the pics and Karla was uncover at a table when my oxygen ran out. So I have to yell "KARLA", "KARLA"! I seen Barrett look back and over at me. I didn't mean to interupt his interview. I explained to him when I met him and his only question was if I was ok.
Looks like you finally got to meet MB. Was he the person you thought he was? To bad I couldn't have gotten a picture with you.
It was great to meet you! That was a fun time that turned interesting with the announcement of Cho being hired as our new GM. You going to the Beaver baseball game later in August.
Yes, Barrett was great. I loved getting to meet TP, but Barrett really made my day. Talk about his blog and he ask me what I thought about Cho and I told him I like him, but wish we had KP still. He told me that he had heard both sides and could understand why the Blazers did it. Said a lot of people were involved and even said agents which I think was his way to confirm why he was fired.
It was great to meet you as well. I have RVSP,,,I think that's how you say that,,,so there is a good chance, but a lot depends if I have my power wheelchair ready to go. I went there a couple years ago and it was kind of tough.
One thing I forgot to mention was that on the way in you could buy bobblehead bags for $5. They included a surprise bobblehead, and a couple little things like keychain, ID holder with strap going around the neck. Each one was a little different. We bought two and got Oden and LA. That gave us two LA because we had a voucher for a LA bobblehead. Should have looked for a different one, but it was suppose to be like a grab bag surprise. Another thing I forgot to mention is that they had the championship court outside and you could play on it. That was neat to see.
Porter is one of my all-time favorite Blazers. Oh, to dream of having a PG as good. We haven't been close since he left.
They sold out before you got there. We bought two and was going to buy two more, but they sold out before we got back over. Should have went back earlier. As far as I can tell they are the old ones. They are not like the Roy bobblehead that you could get for being a STH last year. I really liked that one and of course Karla broke it!
Ya, I agree with you. He was so nice too. I took two pics with him and then when we shook hands again he looked me right in the eye and I realize I was wearing my sunglasses and took them off and said that I wanted to have a pic without the glasses, I had meant to take them off, and he said oh, he gets to take another pic without his glasses, don't want the reflection. I kick myself later for not thinking to say we sure could use him now. I thought of it before hand when I seen him on the court shooting baskets with fans, but didn't think about it when I got my pic taken.

At one time, but not any more. I have to take to many legal meds as it is! Then again, maybe for the next concert!
