with ainge saying that paul pierce is tradeable, it made my eyes light up. with boston wanting to rebuild, and us in need of a sg- i think the nets/celtics can help each other out. with us being able to get PP, we could give up kk/debo and 1/2more players to send to boston. kk and debo's contracts will come off the books after this season so boston can then have money to sign FA. kerry will make 9.8 debo will be making 3.3 while pierce will be making 12.5 next year. deke will come off our books next year and if zo doesnt play this year then he will also come off our books, along with veal and lu next year. so we can have money to resign rj. i would rather us make a trade for paul b/c if the celtics are rebuilding, then they would like exp contracts for room for the following year to spend. i know this isn't even a rumor, but after reading that he(paul) was tradeable, it got me thinking. when we played boston two years ago when they were good, pp was the one guy i though could help us get over the hump and i still think he could help us get to the next lvl. we still need big men, but we also need a sg. i would also hope that this would help us to keep kmart. im sure some ppl will say that boston would ask for kmart or rj for pp, but i would think exp contracts are just as good for a rebuilding team, not re-tooling.
Paul pierce is an awesome player on the right team he would make a perfect fit on the Nets team. But hiw is worth alot more.
Perhaps a three-way trade could be worked out. If the Kittles and A-Train for SAR trade is still in the works, perhaps Portland can send SAR and we send Rogers, Planinic to Boston, while we get Pierce, and Portland gets Kittles, A-Train, and a young Boston player (like Chris Mihm, Banks, or Welsh, maybe even Ricky Davis). Perhaps this is too good to be true.
i read on some msg board about a por/sea/nj deal that would work out but wasnt a rumor just something they thought of. if i find it i'll post it. but i dont think the blazers want to trade sar to a team in their same divison. i dont think a 3way would happen, but ya never know.
