Paul Pierce vs Clyde Drexler. Drexler has two rings. Clyde had such great speed and finesse and hes very versitile. Pierce has great determination, mental toughness, and not to mention hes one hell of a player. Drexler was a 10 time allstar, Pierce is a 5(?) time allstar and im sure more to come. Also, Pierce is one of the most clutch guards in the NBA right now, dont even argue that. They both are very balanced in the stats they get.So my question is, who is better? Who do you want on your team?
Both are badass, the argument could go either way, it really could. Although, Pierce isn't finished with his career yet so, he may be knocked for that.If I had to choose, I'd take Drexler, only because he was one of my favorites.
I read that these Pierce's statline most closely resembled Drexler's of all the past players in the league. Points, rebounds and assists are very close. If pierce's career ended today, then I'd take Drexler, but it's tough to tell when Pierce still has some good years ahead of him.
Clyde Drexler has made four finals appearences winning two of them, Paul Pierce has yet to make the finals. Clyde Drexler has made an All NBA team five times, Pierce has yet to do so. I love Paul Pierce, but I'd have to say that Clyde Drexler looks like the better player at this point.

I believe Pierce has made an All-NBA team twice. But I think it would be a slap in the face to Clyde to not put him over Pierce at this point. I mean Drexler put up the numbers, he had the all around game, very athletic, and of course he won 2 titles. You can't take his accomplishments away from him. Unless Pierce wins 2 or 3 titles (no offense to my Celtics, but it's probably not happening as long as he's in Boston), Clyde will always be thought of as the better player. Clyde is no doubt a Hall of Famer, Pierce is a maybe.
