<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Pierce, sidelined by a stress reaction in his left foot, said he hopes to get back on the court next week. "The cavalry is coming," Pierce told reporters while at Tufts New England Medical Center. He was there for the opening of the Paul Pierce Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery; he donated $250,000 to get the center up and running.</div>http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/ce...different_game/

    :HAHAHA:

This doen't necessarily mean that Paul Pierce will play in a game next week, it probably means he will be able to practice next week. About 5 days ago I heard that he wasn't even allowed to RUN until this week, so I'm not so sure that he'll be able to play in games already.

You HEARD he wasn't allowed to run? Atleast he's coming out and saying he could be back next week, it's something to look forward to while we're in this dismal losing streak that seems to have no end until he does come back.

Yeah, and we just HEARD he could be back on the court by next week. I heard that he wouldn't run for 10 days about a week and a half ago in a quote FROM WYC GROUSBECK. Of course Pierce is always going to at least SAY he'll be back soon, they all say that. If Delonte West got shot in the stomach tonight, he'd say "yeah, I'll be back by Thursday." I remember Pierce saying he'd be back in a week about 4 weeks ago.
