    Pierce's NBA considerations were detailed in court records filed Friday and statements by his attorney, Alfredo Parrish, during a court hearing in Dallas County District Court.

    The Hawkeyes' one-time leading scorer has been charged with two counts of first-degree burglary and one count of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse, stemming from an incident at a woman's West Des Moines residence on Jan. 25.

    Parrish said Pierce remains enrolled at Iowa, but will make a decision about the NBA in the next two weeks. The deadline for filing for early entry into the league is May 14.

    "The next eight to 10 days are going to be critical in making those decisions," Parrish said. "There are a number of issues involved."

    Parrish said Pierce is continuing to appeal Iowa officials' decision to dismiss him from the team and end his scholarship.

    Court records filed Friday ask that Pierce, 21, be allowed to move to his parents' home in Westmont, Ill., this summer while awaiting trial Aug. 16.
