Im on record as wanting Pietrus for defense and Rush for shooting. I also like Ross, hes as good a defender as Pietrus. But there are no reports we have contacted Ross as of now. We have contacted Pietrus however, and his agent claims he would be ecstatic to come to NJ.(Mostly b/c the open spot at SF)I believe we can afford both. Piterus (3.5 Million)as the starting SF, and Rush(about 2) playing the Eddie House role.(Rush might have the quickest release in the league) Since we dont really need 2nd round picks at this point, since we have 3 1st round picks in the next 2 years(which all might be lottery picks), Id trade Marcus Williams, 2010 2nd rounder to Seattle alongside Stromile Swift for Earl Watson. Seattle does this bc Earl was 2 years left, while Stro has 1. Saving them almost 6 mil next year. We throw in the 2nd for them taking Marcus Williams and freeing up a roster spot for us Use the TE for Rasual Butler(2 years left) Trade Hassel and Ager for Brian Cardinal. This saves Minny about a mil. Cardinal has 2 years left on his deal. It opens up a roster spot for us I dont know who wants Krstic, hes a in a really unique situation, hes young, cheap and can shoot but no one really knows how healthy he is. Miami is after another big, and he did have his best run against them in the playoffs, so maybe he left a good impression. So can we S&T him for Dorrell Wright? If Dallas for some reason offered Bass that would be ideal, but thats not likely. Maybe Houston offers Aaron Brooks. Its really tough to project Krstics' value. I dont expect any offer worth trading him, it might be worth hanging onto him for at least another year So we use the MLE on Pietrus and Kareem Rush, the TE on Butler, and we still have the 3.7 from the KVH deal which expires in October.
