He signed a one year deal and will become an unrestricted free agent this summer. It's unbelievable how many scrub players are asking for trades this season. A team looking to shed cap space might pursue him, but any team who really wants him will just wait until the summer.
I would gladly ship him out for nothing in return. I've just gotten so sick of this guy stepping out of bounds, traveling, picking up unnecessary fouls, and his crappy free throw shooting. I wish there was a rule that we could just waive him and just get Terrence Kinsey or Reuben Patterson for this guy... I mean supposedly we could waive him right? Is that possible? Could we get these free agents or are they going to Europe?

And he doesn't have the post game or size/weight that small forwards should have. If they even wanted Pietrus as a cheap backup, the hawks should wait in the offseason anyway.
Maybe Sefolosha and Khryapa for Pietrus. I know Paxson was looking at Pietrus long and hard in 2003. Obviously things aren't working out too well for Sefo and Khryapa in Chicago, and if they trade Nocioni and Thomas for Gasol, they'll absolutely need a backup small forward (of course Pietrus will probably start complaining and demand a trade in the middle of the playoffs then....)

The way I see it is Kelenna Azubuike has already replaced Pietrus as the more reliable swingman and Barnes has replaced Pietrus as the forward. Both have more natural feel for the game than Pietrus. If we got Khryapa and Sefolosha, we lose experience, shooting range, and some scoring, but we got athleticism and basketball IQ and similar on-ball defense with much more versatility. So why are the bulls giving up on Sefolosha? Is it because he can't shoot?
Guy is example of hot and cold and usually the cold wins out. Last night, he commits a stupid turnover, walking with no one around. But then, he comes up with the steal late in the 4th when the Nuggets were heading upcourt and he feeds Baron for a killer layup to go back up 6 or 9. Finally, he commits a stupid bailout foul reaching in late. Why? Oh Why?
