I think the Pistons have been playing better recently and there is no real reason why they should lose. The Pistons need some more momentum going into the other west coast games and this should be a good game to use to get it. Wallace will need to play very well against Brand inside, but he will have the other Wallace helping, who also needs to have a better shooting night. Also, Ben Wallace is officially averaging 10 points per game for the first time in his career this far ino the season!!!! Conrads Ben Pistons by 6.
Both of these teams are good. It can go either way. L.A. Has the home court advantage. But I'll say Detriot will pull this one off by 9 after a run in the 3rd.
this is going to be a tough game. Brand, Maggette, and Richardson are all big time scorers. this should be a battle to the end.
Great win! Great compsure by Chauncey to lead the come back. I really hope that Rasheed finds his shooting touch soon. His FG% has been pretty bad lately. Once he starts shooting better, we'll really be dangerous.
Very good defensive second half, especially by Corliss. I was extremely impressed, and surprised, by his effort. Great comback, and there were glimpses of Rasheed's great shooting in the fourth. Hopefully he'll get comfortable during this road trip. If any of you were watching the game on Fox Sports Net, you probably heard this exchange by the commentators, went kind of like this: "Mike Woodson has to be one of the best dressed guys in this league. All around, his clothes match, they look sharp." "Oh, really?" "Yeah, I'd say he's one of the top three best dressed in the league." "Well, you would know. You're clothes look pretty good today." "Thanks, man, you look good, too. Woodson, though, he's a trendsetter." ...So...that was the best part of the game, don't you agree?
Sheed really stepped up in the 4th quarter after a horrible shooting performance. Too many techinals, the referees are completely losing control of games lately.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Chauncey Billups scored 28 points and Richard Hamilton added eight of his 21 points in the last seven minutes, leading the Detroit Pistons to a 100-88 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. The Pistons overcame the poor shooting of Rasheed Wallace and the ejection of coach Larry Brown to win their fourth straight. Ben Wallace recorded his 30th double-double of the season, finishing with 13 points and 13 rebounds for Detroit. Rasheed Wallace scored nine of his 15 points in the fourth quarter after shooting 1-for-12 in the first three quarters. He finished 5-for-17 and had 10 rebounds. Hamilton played his second game since breaking his nose when he was elbowed by Chicago's Marcus Fizer on Wednesday. He is scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday after playing Monday night at Utah. Elton Brand had 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers, who have lost eight of 11. Quentin Richardson had 22 points and 10 rebounds.</div> Recap Box Score Good comeback, I was impressed with a few things in the second half, including the defense of Corliss. I was dissapointed with Sheed in the first but he came back and played very well in the fourth helping us pull out a win. Anyways, this should be a great momentum builder, go Pistons!
Clippers did their best to put up a good fight...but the Pistons were just too much down the stretch of the game. Especially in the 4th, when Wallace sparked Detroit off to a 16-3 run, that's what killed LA tonight. And just when the Pistons showed signs of slipping, Rip and Billups continued to hit huge shots to keep them in it. What a wild game though, 5 T's if I remember correctly, with Larry Brown being ejected. And you guys can't tell me you didn't think Sheed was going out with him.....
