He can provide the Bulls with the spark to pull through in games, and he will need to exhibit it tonight. Hamilton will need to match Crawford's offensive efforts, to get the Pistons a W. Injury Lists Detroit Pistons Chicago Bulls Kendall Gill Scottie Pippen Keys to the Game <u>Detroit Pistons:</u> <ul> [*]Dominate the boards (Detroit now has the frontcourt to destroy other teams on the glass. The Pistons were able to get offensive rebounds almost at will against the Magic and it should continue tonight. The Pistons should be able to beat the Sixers on the glass by at least 5.) [*]Guard the guards (The Bulls have some excellent young guards that could really hurt the Pistons. Hinrich is a great passer and he can shoot too. Detroit will need to prevent him from spreading the ball to other players, especially Eddy Curry and Jamal Crawford. Crawford is probably the only player that could get the Bulls a win. He needs to have a great game or it will be a blowout, even with the Pistons' recent troubles.) [*]Get good bench production (The Pistons' bench has a few new players and still need to come together. Okur needs to stop being pissed off at Brown, because we all are hating Larry right now. If the Pistons get some high quality minutes from James, Okur, and Corliss then they should win.) [*]Play Larry Brown's style of basketball/Spread the ball around (The Pistons need to get back the basics of spreading the ball around and getting open shots. The Pistons also need some smart bench play and some excellent execution on the offensive end.)
<u>Chicago Bulls:</u> <ul> [*]Guard Rasheed Wallace (Rasheed will probably be looking to have a big game tonight. He should come out and play with a lot of intensity. Rasheed will try to go inside and the Bulls must keep him out of the low post.) [*]Get some rebounds (Detroit will look to take advantage with their frontcourt. Bulls will need to get some defensive rebounds to prevent extra possesions for the Pistons. Some extra offensive rebounds wouldn't hurt either.) [*]Get some efficient minutes from Crawford (Jamal can play very well a lot. For the Bulls to win, he will need to have a great game. He is one of there key players and is a pretty good guard. [*]Good play from Hinrich and Curry (These two players could also help determine the game. Hinrich is a great rookie and a great passed, he can also shoot well. He will need to try to spread the ball around to get some easy shots. Curry will need to get some good low post position and look to stay agressive, even against the Wallaces.)
PyroManiac's Prediction Sorry for the late preview. Pistons should come out and win this one. Detroit is a better team and needs to start playing like it. The Bulls have a chance as long as Detroit plays the same way they have been playing. Detroit has played a few teams that have hung around all four quarters and then made a run at the end, cost the Pistons 1 game so far. Detroit needs to play with intensity and then they should be able to beat Chicago. Pistons by 13. (Sorry, just can't go conservative for this game, we need a solid win. No little crap by Prince, Okur, or Corliss. We play to win the game.)
Another good preview Pyro. Good stuff. The Bulls backcourt will meet their match against an equally good Pistons backcourt, so the frontcourt would be the deciding factor here. The Pistons look like they'll blow this one out, unless Curry or Chandler scores 30+, that is. Pistons by 12.
Good preview once again, agree about Okur, wondering how in sense this new found rivarly will get after this game.
This is a little late, game already started, but I think that the Pistons are going to get their heads on straight, dominate the second half and win this game. Since Okur can't play today, I expect a bigger game from the bench. Hopefully Darko will play, and it'll be the beginning of a winning streak. Pistons by 11.
Did you guys see Ben's killer crossover?? Pistons playing well so far. 76-64 in the 3rd. too bad Rasheed is in foul trouble, he was starting to get into a groove. Elden Campbell playing effectively and contributing on offense. let's hope we can continue the energy and finish the game strong (something we really need to start doing).
pistons 107 bulls 88 good job by the pistons to keep the pressure on and extend their lead. granted the Bulls aren't a great team, the Pistons need some convincing victories to gain some confidence. six players in double figures. great job sharing the ball. the wallace duo with 5 blocks. they are become a force down low. good job to Darko to match his career high in points
Go Darko! Matched his career high tonight, what a player. He did it in only 5 minutes. Damn NBA didn't even award him that block...they gave it to Darvin Ham, bastards. Darko didn't look as lost tonight, he should play more. He shot .750 from the line, pretty good. (6/8 from the line) I wanted him to dunk it, damn Bulls who decided to foul him to take away his first posterization. That would have made a good signature I don't think I really need to say anything, we played better tonight and got some fast break points. AllNet, if you reply, please post the recap. I have to leave now and I don't have time tonight. (It is not up yet.) Thanks.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting iamme:</div><div class="quote_post">i hope tonight we can play intense for 48 minutes. i'm hoping for a double digit victory.</div> Well, you got it... and I'm stuck here in Chicago feeling like a loser becasue I'm cheering for a sorry team.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting iamme:</div><div class="quote_post">Darko in with 4:50 left in the fourth. Chicago fans chanting "we want Darko!" </div> Haha... yeah, I was wondering what they were chanting and sort of figured it out when they cheered when he got off the bench. Well, at least they got their money's worth... the Bulls show only lasted in the first quarter. Boo hoo!
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Ben Wallace understands the importance of Rasheed Wallace, though he wasn't about to give him all the credit Wednesday night. Richard Hamilton scored 21 points and Rasheed Wallace added 15 points and seven rebounds to lead the Detroit Pistons past the Chicago Bulls 107-88. Chauncey Billups had 14 points and Ben Wallace had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Pistons, who have beaten the Bulls eight straight times.
