<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Chauncey Billups and Chucky Atkins scored 19 points apiece Sunday night in a 96-75 victory over the Utah Jazz. The Pistons' 54.5 percent shooting marked just the second time this season they have made more than half their shots.

"That's what Pistons basketball is supposed to be," Billups said. "We've played like this in spurts, but this is the first time in a while that we've been able to do it for 48 minutes. We knew the defense was there, we just needed to get the offense back."

"I don't think we ever lacked confidence, it was just a matter of execution," said Ben Wallace, who finished with 13 rebounds. "It felt good to get someone down and finally be able to close it out."

Andrei Kirilenko scored with two seconds left in the first half before Wallace's long inbounds pass found Tayshaun Prince for a buzzer-beating layup and a 48-36 lead. Billups and Richard Hamilton combined for 26 points in the half.

Darko Milicic, the No. 2 pick in this year's draft, entered the game with six minutes to play after loud "We want Darko" chants from the Palace crowd. Milicic finished with three points and his first two assists.

"The crowd going crazy for me gave me a great feeling," he said. "I'd been sick for five days, but it was good to get out there and play six minutes and score."

Ummmmmm I am embarrassed by this game. It was a blowout from the very beginning.
I underestimated the Pistons. I think they are the best in the East over the Pacers now, IMO

I'm very glad that we got this win. We had a horrid stretch of games, and a win like this SHOULD push us into a winning-streak.

Great to see Darko do something. At first when he came in, he was going crazy just pushing people but then he settled in and got some points.

He did good, but think, he could have had 5 points, if only he hit those free throws.

Great shot by him though, and nice assists. He is developing into a very nice player. And don't forget that he was sick, so he couldn't practice.

It didn't surprise me that Detroit won that game. The Jazz are so reliant on Andrei Kirilenko and with Ben Wallace guarding him, the rest of the team had to score and play good defense, which they couldn't do. Now Utah have got to get ready for the Bulls tomorrow, to end a 6 game road trip. They're 2-3 so far, 3-3 is acceptable, 2-4 isn't.
