<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mike Woodson doesn't deserve to be on Larry Brown's staff next season as an assistant coach.

He deserves his own team as an NBA head coach.

Woodson, in his first season with the Pistons, has been an assistant for four teams. He has paid his dues, worked long hours and developed a rapport with players that should make him a solid head coach in the not-so-distant future.

In the two games Brown hasn't coached the Pistons until the final horn, when he was ejected by officials, Woodson has taken over the team and made the right moves. The second time came Sunday against the Los Angeles Clippers.

After allowing 33 points in the first quarter, the Pistons allowed just 33 in the second half in an impressive, 100-88 victory.

I think he will be a good head coach.Plenty of jobs should be available this summer. So he might get a chance to coach next season.
