According to David Aldridge, he also said Pistons were very close to getting Rasheed Wallace before being traded to Atlanta. Interesting stuff What do you think Pistons could offer for Damp?
Well, I don't know what to say. If we get Erick, then Joe Dumars gets a I don't know what the Pistons could offer that would be a fair trade. I have some trades in my imagination but they would not be approved by any GM.
I have no idea what that trade would entail, but if I were the Pistons, I'd chase him, too. A decent scorer on the inside and a GREAT rebounder... They could either play him into the rotation with Big Ben or play both at the same time. Then you'd have to be scared... ...how many rebounds would the opposing team even have a chance at?
good lord, with Ben and Dampier crashing the boards..... i can't wait until the week is over, so all the trade rumors can be put to rest. with so many names being thrown around, i'm afraid that it'll just be a small trade with the intentions of freeing up cap space.
Its hard to say what the Warriors would be willing to take for Dampier. If you guys take Dampier, can you also take NVE?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting iamme:</div><div class="quote_post"> i'm afraid that it'll just be a small trade with the intentions of freeing up cap space.</div> I have that same feeling, a trade was mentioned yesterday that if Orlando fail in their bid to land Marcus Fizer he will likely get traded to Detroit for Chucky Atkins to make room to sign Okur in the off-season.

Getting Dampier is a great upgrade, but not earth shattering which may lead to chemistry problems. Like I said, I can't wait for the week to be over
AllNet, the trade you gave is almost identical to what I said except mine was even more unfair. The problem is that it would leave us with a shortage of big men, unless Darko suddenly learns to play for 20 minutes. Your proposed trade would leave us with Ben, Erick, Darko, and Prince in the frontcourt. Those is some heavy minutes for each player. Ah well, I would do it, but would Golden State? Also, we'll pass on NVE.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PyroManiac:</div><div class="quote_post">Keep wishing. Darko is ours!</div> You do not want him! We will give you either Murphy/Dunleavy in return.
I don't think getting Dampier is a good idea. I say you get someone who can play in place of Prince, he seems to not be performing as well as the other starting Pistons. Can't be Brent Barry since he plays point.
Did you see Rookie game? If he shoots that well consistently then I have no problem with Prince. I saw a clip from Kentucky where he made 5 3-pointers on consecutive possesions! During all of them he was covered, it was sicK! He needs to shoot well consistently though.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PyroManiac:</div><div class="quote_post">You see my avatar and favorite player? It's Darko, so yes, we do want him!</div> Why's Darko your favorite? It's the hair, right? Gotta love that bleached look! Back to Dampier, I think the Pistons would have to trade Okur or Prince to get him. Dampier is too good to go for Corliss or Chucky, he's a big part of that Golden State team and they wouldn't let him go for cheap.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PyroManiac:</div><div class="quote_post">You see my avatar and favorite player? It's Darko, so yes, we do want him!</div> Why is Darko your favorite player? Is it the pre draft hype? When has he even played meaningful minutes? If he was good, he would be playing. So we can give you Dunleavy/Murphy. Whadda ya say?

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">Adding J-rich to the mix and it might be considered</div> No, it won't. Dumars won't be trading Darko any time soon unless somebody offered a trade that won't be offered. Understand? Darko is my favorite player because...um...well... Alright, when I first learned of Darko a few years ago, I started wondering how awesome it would be if he played for the Pistons. So, lottery night comes along and we learned that the Nuggets get pick #3. I'm watching the TV, and I don't care about the Nets game coming up. I'm just hoping that Memphis doesn't get #1 pick or else all the Piston fans go crazy. I can just relate to his story of living in poverty and going through tough times. I guess I can just envision what type of player he could become. So to sum it all up, it's the hair. ' Oh yeah, and Darko will be playing starting now. Enjoy watching Murphy, we'll keep Milicic for now. He is even the Pistons 6th man in my preview for tonight!
