Right now, there is 5:14 left in the second quarter, and the Pistons are down eight, 45-37. This is a big game. If we win, we prove we can win without Chauncey. If we lose, we are on a three game losing streak, and we really don't want that.
That Raja Bell 3 was awesome! Nash is having a great game... it's too close for my liking though. It's at least nice to see Amare play well against a pretty strong Pistons front court. Hamilton has been awesome for Detroit, he has really picked up his scoring to make up for Billups being gone.
Suns up by eight with 7:15 left. We're still in this. It's closer than I figured it would be.Oh baby! Delfino three puts us down by three!
Well the lead in the east is fading away game by game as the Pistons dropped their 3rd straight. Flip Murray did a decent job starting for the injured Chauncey Billups and the bench did a great job but it wasn't enough against the high scoring Suns. It is going to be a long 7-10 days w/o our captain but I think w/ Murray getting more comfortable in a starting role I think we can pull through. It would of been nice to win on New Year's but what are you going to do short handed w/ no Chauncey?I am impressed w/ Delfino's play the last few games and I hope it continues into the new year, because this bench is becoming a force. This Thursday, we play the Hornets on TNT. This will be a big game. We don't have Chauncey, but the Hornets don't have Chris Paul, Bobby Jackson or David West, so we are in luck.
