<div class="quote_poster">Quoting DetroitPistons.com:</div><div class="quote_post"><font size=""1""> AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - Officials from the Detroit Pistons report that ratings on TV20 /WDIV and FSN Detroit, the local over-the-air and cable homes of the Detroit Pistons respectively, are up significantly over last season.

TV20/WDIV reported an average household rating of 10.1 for Pistons games this season, which is a 26% increase over last year at this time. For TV20/WDIV, one household ratings point represents 19,360 households in the seven-county, Detroit DMA.

FSN Detroit reported an increase of 59% over last season with an average household rating of 6.2. The 6.2 ratings average is an all-time record for Detroit Pistons broadcasts. Since the beginning of the season, Pistons games have been the highest rated programming on FSN Detroit. DSR: Pistons Post Game also posted a 52% ratings increase this season. Similar to TV20/WDIV, one household ratings point represents 19,360 households in the DMA.

?These ratings numbers are a direct indication of our team?s popularity,? said Tom Wilson, CEO for the Detroit Pistons. ?There is a demand for Pistons basketball and we are all benefiting from it: our organization, our sponsors, our broadcast partners. I think any time you can see percentage increases like we have, you show decision-makers --- CEO, general manager or the head of the household --- that you are someone to do business with.?

Household ratings on TV20/WDIV have reached a 13.6 ratings rate three times this season, which represents more than 263,000 households that are tuned into Pistons games. The 10.1 average posted by TV20/WDIV represents nearly 200,000 households.

Ratings on FSN Detroit have reached an 8.7 for broadcasts, which is an all-time record for a Pistons regular season game. Further, the Pistons have posted 8.0+ ratings five times this season. The 6.2 average posted by FSN Detroit represents more than 120,000 households.</font></div>

I'm from Australia so I'm not sure of how the whole TV thing works over there, but this sounds promising, good to see the fans tuning in to help show support.
