Well Looks like KG joined the "Rabbit-Punch" league. He's joined the ranks of Carmelo Anthony, Brendan Haywood, Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant to name a few. Would have rather not had him become a card carrying member and back pedal like he's matched up with Randy Moss, but it's too late now. But after watching the replay on both ESPN and FSN MY take on the situation is this: It's widely known that MickyD and KG are friends. You could audibly hear, after Madsen was pushed, KG push Tony slightly (I say slightly because the it wasn't very forceful and looked more like a sharp gust of wind than a malice filled, straight up push) and say "come on, man". Tony took exception and KG didn't like how he responded and that's when the street in both reared it's ugly head. You could see CB and KG when KG is saying that it's BS, when Tony tried to go over to KG again, KG, from what I could see, said "why you gotta push ME like that". I've been in similar exchanges, but the "pushee" didn't usually react the way Tony did because they know who I am. If they did, we just took a break for a min or two and everything was everything again. No malice. If blame is to be given, it IS on KG's side because he initiated the contact and had the ability to difuse it after he was pushed back. Asking to meet Tony in the parking lot didn't help either. Typical heated exchange between friends, nothing more.
KG did not run he was backing up so he could get some space from the whole pistons team. yes it was his fault this happenend but he did not run away. if you gonna fight one guy thats fine but when his whole team comes up on him should he just stand there??
Why not? the Pistons team weren't going to do anything. KG is best friends with Chauncey and Sheed. The fact Dice and Kevin are good friends is what made this odd. Heat of the moment stuff. Spoiled what was an entertaining game even though Pistons played terrible for the most part.
