<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Detroit Pistons President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars announced today that the club has requested waivers on guard Hubert Davis.

Davis, who was acquired from Washington along with Richard Hamilton and Bobby Simmons in exchange for Jerry Stackhouse on September 11, 2002, played in three games this season. The 6-foot-5 guard had one assist in a season-high 11 minutes at New York on December 1. He spent 37 games on the injured list with a strained left thumb.

    Press Release

Could be a useful player for a team needing three-point shooting and veteran leadership.

With Lindsey Hunter coming back from injury, there's really no place left for Hubert Davis.

Word. We have no bussines really with Hubert. Chauncey is great, and Chucky is playing great. When Lindsey comes back he'll be a good spark off the bench like he was earlier this season. Hubert is just too old, but still has a stroke.
