Hey guys, wondering if any of you has an update on Ike's status. Last I heard he was "day to day". PS: GS 100.5 DET 96.2 (+4.3) PA: GS 103.7 DET 94.0 (-9.7) REB: GS 37.0 DET 43.8 (-6.8) As usual for the Warriors, it looks like it'll come down to who can control the tempo in this game, and can we keep them from completely owning the boards. Slow halfcourt game, Detroit will thrash us, fast running game, we win easily. I would look for Andris to figure heavily into the outcome of this game, and Ike if he can play. Disturbing sight of the week: I saw Christmas lights up while driving home last night. Yes, that's right, Christmas lights on November 10th! Stop the madness!
I'll be at this game tonight. I have great seats and will be front and center for my first look at the 2006-2007 Warriors. Anybody else going?
Nope, going to see that Bhorat movie. But I will be focussing on how we do on our first long road game week and the stretch of time before all-star break. If they impress, I'll believe we can make the 8th seed. But we're playing really risky type ball with the amount of threes and how we play undermanned and undersized. I got almost all games tivoed.
I hope Ike can play so he can punish Rasheed and then make him mad enough to be thrown out of the game.

It's sad the way they are picking on a guy who plays with so much passion and emotion.

I can understand not arguing with refs to save time and make the game go faster. But to take all the emotion out is just ridiculous. Like when a guy screams after dunking, he gets a T? Thats just stupid. It doesn't slow the game down at all and fires up team mates. David Stern needs to get the sand out of his vagina.
Play the game. That's all you have to do. 'Sheed does more than enough to get his Ts. No one ever better even think about trading Biedris ever again. He's looking better than Andrew Bynum. His arms, when going up straight, are huge. He's got good hands too. Those passes that used to clank off Foyle are now dunks.

Maybe Mullins plan is to buyout Foyle's contract to create space next season for when Biedrin's signing comes due. Anyway, the FT's in this game are atrocious. Thank god they are making their shots.
<div class="quote_poster">Kensaku Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Well, Dun is having a nice little game.</div> I think that can be said of everyone really. Dunleavy does better off the bench than starting, lets hope it stays this way.
lol dunleavy was all over the floors though..anyone see that play where he fell across the screen when roberson shot his first three?
We caught them in the right time (back to back without Hamilton), and we never looked back. Nice game all around. BTW, Foyle couldn't get a single min in blow out game? Man, talk about being benched...
<div class="quote_poster">Kwan1031 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Foyle couldn't get a single min in blow out game? Man, talk about being benched...</div> Nellie didn't want to risk losing the game. Doesn't matter how much time is left or how big the lead is.

I dont know if you guys could catch it on tv but when Dunleavy missed his first couple free throws people boo'ed him for a while. <div class="quote_poster">philsmith75 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Play the game. I've always been a fan of Rasheed's but I'de say he earns most of his techs and he also gets a few because of his rep but that always holds true in sports. There is a point where you just have to play the game as philsmith stated. He takes too many plays off when he is arguing with the ref while his defensive assignment is on the other end hitting an open three. So much talent....get that guy in the post!
The Warriors won virtually every matchup in every way- and the weird thing- the Warrior defense dominated as the Piston D was a meltdown. Andris got cheated by the scorer..one block? Seemed like at least 3. Anyone who was thinking we'd fall short of even being .500 or were desperate to dump half the roster has to update. This is the type of game that you really build off of. I was pretty sure the players COULD perform and Monty was a major handicap, now I think he was even more of a liability than I had figured.
Don Nelson might have hit the right combination last night by starting Baron and Monta in the back court we hve speed and ball handling. with J-rich at small forward, we take the ball away from him and all he has to do is e a ing player, he is also a better rebounder at that position than Dunleavy or Pietrus when healthy due to his leaping ability. Biendrens is way quicker than most Power forwards and has the quickness to get rebounds and the soft hands to finish around the hoop. Murphy can draw out centers with his 3 point shooting and can contribute a lot with his mid range jumpers. Dunleavy, Pietrus and Ike are excellent coming of the bench to provide a big boost when the starters come out. I hope that Nelly keeps this lineup but knowing him, he will used a different one next game against the Raptors.
