Speaking Friday in the Edward Jones Dome where his Louisville Cardinals practiced in advance of tonight's Final Four game against Illinois, Pitino warned of the dangers when young people do what Blatche has done. That is, declare for the NBA draft.

"If I was their age, I'd go pro if I had that type of ability, without question," said Pitino, who was an assistant coach for Jim Boeheim at Syracuse. "But I think it's ultimately going to kill the NBA. I think the best part about the NBA is veterans who understand how to play. The 19-year-olds taking over for the Charles Oakleys are really going to take away from the teaching of the young guys who need to be taught what the NBA is all about." </div> Source
