Irving is a nut case. I don't see Morey going there, especially in Covid times.
What does "Covid times" have to do with it? Kyrie not getting vaccinated makes him ineligible to play in New York (as a Knick or Net), but not in Philadelphia.
I agree he's a nutcase, but he always has been--that doesn't mean he's not viewed as a valuable basketball player.
Valuable as long as he doesn't have a birthday party, or political candidtate to support, or vision quest to pursue, and so on and so on.......
And remember, he's still searching for where the earth drops off.
So you're saying through his entire career, no team has wanted Irving?
No, talking about the present.
Any talk of trading CJ, RoCo, etc involves certain assumptions regarding our interim GM. Does anyone here really believe that Olshey was the type of manager who tolerates competent subordinates? IMHO, if the guy had shown any brains or initiative Olshey would have seen him as a threat and run him off.
ClutchPoints: Blazers: 3 best CJ McCollum trades to make Portland contenders.
No idea what i m doing here, but I think this makes us better lol
Lillard/Powell/DFS/Sabonis/Kleber is a balanced starting 5 in my opinion. It's not a contender, but it can play much better defense. Nurkic is better than Kleber, but Kleber is a better fit next to Sabonis as he is a very good shooter. DFS can be our defensive stopper in the perimeter. A player with size and mobility.
Why Mavs do it? They downgrade at SF, but they have trying to find a starting C for ages and maybe they like Nurk in that role. They like Europeans as well
Why Pacers do it? Yeah that's the tricky part because Sabonis is better, younger and in a more team friendly contract but their team's chemistry is a shitshow and LeVert is not playing well so they might try shake things up and bring him off the bench and start CJ. If it was last year's RoCo would be an easy sell, but he has been a disappointment this year so yeah maybe they ll ask a pick as well.
He was hired in 2006 as a capologist, so who do you think hired or signed off on hiring him? Nash?
none of those trade ideas are realistic. Trading CJ isn't going to return Sabonis, or Siakam, or Heild + Haliburton. Other teams know what CJ is and they know his value....it's not nearly that high
Cleveland, Rubio. Take back bad contracts, cj is overpaid
Is this guy a Blazer homer? I would love to get Sabonis, Siakam or Hield and Halliburton, but none of those clubs would do those trades (although he doesn't really say what Blazers would give up). It would take a lot more then CJ to get any of those.
Sure id consider that if nothing better is available.
Yeah, but you're talking about him being a nutcase his whole career. Clearly, it hasn't impacted his desirability as a basketball player.
2006? It would have to have been PatterNash.
Bring back Tom Penn. @EL PRESIDENTE
Still think the team that would view CJ as having the best value would be a contender seeing him as a third scorer. So, basically the Nets. (Or maybe the Lakers, but... ugh. I guess I'd take THT, but they seem to think he's Young LeBron, so...)
That kinda seems like making a trade just to make a trade...
I think we're forgetting the Boston years. He well and truly trashed his value playing there.
