Alright, in this thread discuss some player nicknames (ex Iverson - The Answer) State which one is your favorite and which you dislike the most. Personally, my favorite is Andrei Kirilenko's AK47 since it matches his name and jersey. I still wonder whether he planned it out or not. The one that annoys me the most is Shawn Marion's The Matrix. I have no clue where that comes from and it just sounds stupid to me.

I find AK-47 funny cos he's from russia and his jersey is 47. So I guess that's why he chose the number 47 (because of the kalashnikov AK-47) .

I forgot where I heard this from, it was either the guys on TNT or ESPN, but one of the guys doing the show kept reffering Andre Iguodala to... Iggy Hop! or was it Pop? [IMG] Sounds cheesy to me either way, hopefully that won't become his official nickname.

I've always really like AI's The Answer nickname but I think my favorite may be Paul Pierce. The Truth really fits him and his style of play esp. when he gets it goin in the 4th quarter.

How? What the heck does it mean? A matrix is a set of numbers in brackets, or if you go by the movie, the electronic world filled weird effects?

He has a wide face, and somehow that relates to the wideness of the matrix.

    LOL!!! No... that's not why..

Find some highlights of Shawn Marion dunking. When he throws a 2 hand flush and as he lands, he sometimes does like a little spin in the air with his arms bent in a certain way that I can't explain unless you see it for itself... Looks kinda like the infamous 'kick' that Trinity did in the Matrix. That's how he got the nickname... cause he looks like he can fly like the ppl in that movie.

Andre Iguodala - Iggy, best nickname out there. Either that or AK47 is a great nickname as well, I would like to be called that if I were Kirilenko and I am glad he is.

I like King James for Lebron, and Flash for D-Wade but Vince Carter has gotta have the most and best of anyone in the league. There's Air Canada (although it's more like Air New Jersey right now), Vinsanity, Half-Man Half-Amazing, VC#15 and a couple of others I can't remember.

It's a old nickname...but I think Vinsanity is the best nickname out there.

Dumbest one is T-Hud for Troy Hudson
