I meant to put this in the preview thread, but I'll just make a new thread and put them up for discussion. From now on I'll try to put the post-game quotes in the preview thread. Coach D'Antoni: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">. We took two baby steps tonight. We are still way in the hole but we were able to end ’03 on a good note and we’ll see what we can do to start ’04." </div> Marbury: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> “Wins, I love them. It doesn’t matter how you get them, but it was imperative for us to get off to a good start for this long road trip.” </div> Brand: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He not only made shots but he made other players better with nine assists. It might sound unbelievable that a guy that scores 40 is unselfish but he looked to get his other players involved.” </div> Maggette: <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Marbury scored 40 points and that was a big part of their scoring. He’s just a good player. He made shots and he made his other teammates better by passing to them for open shots.”</div> For the rest of the quotes go to the following link: http://www.nba.com/suns/news/quotes_031229.html It's nice how Brand and Maggette not only complimented Marbury for scoring a lot, but also getting other players involved at the same time. That's basically what he does night in and night out, but people just seem to believe what they want to believe. D'Antoni is right in that the Suns took baby steps on their way to get back to .500. I also believe they took baby steps in attacking the hole more often. Last night the Suns saw the benefits of doing so, they got easy baskets and easy jumpers off of penetration.
