    SEASON HIGHS:
POINTS: 35 (Feb 28 vs. Lakers)
ASSISTS: 8* (April 17 vs. Atlanta)
REBOUNDS: 9 (Nov 19 at Dallas)
    20+ SCORING GAMES: 11
    30+ SCORING GAMES: 2
    THE SEASON
Persevered through challenging, injury-marred year to post strong numbers in season?s second half. . .In his first full season in NY (eighth NBA campaign), Tim averaged 12.0 ppg (third on team), 3.3 rpg and 1.5 apg over 27.3 mpg in 71 games (68 starts). . .Went 315-718 FGA (.439) from the field. . .Shot a team-leading .409 from Downtown (85-208 3PT FGA) and finished 14th in the NBA in 3PT pct. . .Went 136-173 FTA (.786). Led Knicks in scoring seven times, rebounds twice. . .Recorded 11 20+ scoring games and two 30+ efforts. . .Recorded second-highest FT pct. of career (topped only by .793 for Bucks in 2001-02). . .Logged fewest total minutes (1,940) over full schedule since playing 1,779 as a rookie with the 76ers in 1997-98 (had 812 minutes in lockout-shortened 1998-99 season for 76ers-Bucks). . .DQd three times. . .Has averaged double-figure points in seven of his eight NBA seasons.
    A TALE OF TWO SEASONS
Struggled in first half of season, then rebounded strongly in the second. . .Over his first 36 games (Nov 3-Jan 21), Tim averaged just 10.1 ppg (364) on .394 shooting (136-345 FGA). . .But after returning off the injured list (Jan 25-Feb 4, strained right calf), he posted 13.9 ppg (487) with .480 shooting (179-373 FGA) in his last 35 contests (Feb 4-April 20). . .Recorded 10 of his 11 20+ scoring games during the latter stretch.
    THE DOWNTOWN STORY
Tim went 85-208 from Downtown (.409) and finished 14th in the NBA in three-point shooting pct. . .Registered the second-highest 3PT pct. of his career (topped only by .412 for Bucks in 2000-01).
Recorded four three-homer games, five four-homer games, and nailed a season-high six 3PT FG on April 17 vs. Hawks. . .Notched his third career four-point play (3PT FGM+FTM) on Nov 16 at San Antonio (fouled by Brent Barry). . .Launched a three-point bomb that bounced off the rim and backboard, then dropped in to give Knicks last-second win over Bobcats, Feb 13. It was the second of NY?s three game-winning buzzer-beaters this season (also Jamal Crawford at Houston, Nov 18; Michael Sweetney at Indiana, April 10). . .Nailed six straight 3PT FGA in a span from Feb 24-28. </div>

It?s been an interesting season for Tim Thomas ? most Knicks fan least favorite player. He started off terribly to the extent where he averaged something like 9 points on 33% shooting in 25 wasted minutes. He did have some issues with some relatives dying and said he lost focus, but as soon as he regained his focus, he actually played decent basketball.

Despite playing usual horrendous defense, and rebounding terribly for someone 6?10, 240, Tim Thomas has been scoring pretty well in fact, he was amongst the leaders in 3-Point field goal percentage shooting at about 41% per game, which is also a career high for him and highest one on the Knicks this season.

He?s also had some pretty good games this year including a Knick career high, 35 points against the Lakers, a buzzer against the Bobcats, and a plethora of posterizations this season. In addition, he recorded a career high 8 assists against the Hawks this season and bounced back nicely from his horrible start of the season.

Perhaps the best thing about Tim Thomas is that his contract is expiring and with the way he was playing towards the end of the season, maybe the Knicks can get a great player with Baron Davis like potential at the deadline.

That would be an amazing trade if Isiah got a great player with all-star potential for a guy like Tim Thomas. The Golden State trade was a great steal for them. Good luck! If golden state pulled one off, its possible for you guys too and it would give H20 1 less reason to fire Isiah lol.

I hated TT this past season. Which isn't unusual for me to say the least. What I find interesting about him is that he actually isn't good in any aspect of the game. Really. Feel free to argue, if you have an argument. I don't even know that he keeps the seats warm on the bench, for that matter. If there was one element of the game for him to be good at, that would more than likely be it. He's that bad.

About all the trade talk. I hope with every fiber of my being that Isiah doesn't pull the trigger on any TT trade until the deadline (or around the deadline). He probably wants to start the season with a bang, he isn't the most patient of people. If he waits long enough he can get a damn good deal for him, but I wouldn't be too surprised if he takes a trade before the season. He's going to be very valuable with that enormous contract (final year), and there is a high probability that we could get some top-flite players in return for him.

Just hold on, Isiah. Don't screw this one up.

Hardly anyone commented on the other player recaps but I had a feeling that when it was TT's turn people would have some things to say about him. I dont think anyone's going to disagree with you about the fact that he doesnt do anything well. And I want him out of New York pronto. But unless we get a very good player in return(and I mean All Star calibur, like Big Z) that will help turn our whole season around he should not be dealt. I'm tired of the cap situation. It's better to deal with him one more season and be that much closer to relief. So I'm against trading him unless it's for a big impact player. But of course since Isiah Thomas is a clown he's just going to deal him for some alright player who wont be a real difference maker and take back more salary. I hate that idiot.

Anyway I think Isiah Thomas should be fired.
