Bob Lanier: If he wasn't injured, he would of been inducted into the hall of fame. Grant Hill: Same case. Arvydas Sabonis: He should be a Hall of famer, but they probably wouldn't vote him in as a hall of famer. Dennis Johnson: The most underrated player ever.
Dennis Johnson, definitely. After reading Larry Bird's biography, I got more of the feel that people didn't get.
Artis Gilmore should be in the Hall. He spent 5 seasons in the ABA, where he averaged 22.3 ppg and 17.1 rpg, shooting 55.7% from the field. He made the ABA all-star team every year. Then in the NBA, he averaged 17 and 10 over 12 seasons, with 6 all-star appearances. And he shot an NBA record 59.9% from the field over his career, including 6 straight years shooting over 60%. If you combine his ABA and NBA totals, he had 24,941 points, 16,330 rebounds, and 3,178 blocks. That would put him 14th all time in points, 5th all time in rebounds, and third all time in blocks (Kareem has him beat by 11 blocks). Paul Westphal should be in the Hall. He was All-NBA 3 out of 4 years. Dominique Wilkens should definitely be in the Hall. Not sure how long he's been eligible. He'll get there soon, I'm sure. Who else. High scorers Bernard King and Adrian Dantley are NOT in the Hall. They should be.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting durvasa:</div><div class="quote_post"> Dominique Wilkens should definitely be in the Hall. Not sure how long he's been eligible. He'll get there soon, I'm sure. </div> totally agree. i don't even understand how he didn't make NBA's 50 greatest players
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ballin_boy:</div><div class="quote_post">totally agree. i don't even understand how he didn't make NBA's 50 greatest players</div> Indeed. He should replace Scottie Pippen on the 50 Greatest Players list.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chungster:</div><div class="quote_post">Indeed. He should replace Scottie Pippen on the 50 Greatest Players list.</div> Nique shouldnt replace Scottie on the 50 greatest list. Granted there is no comparison scoring wise between Nique and Scottie, but Scottie has the all-round edge. Nique should clearly be on the 50 greatest list but not over Scottie, get rid of Bill "Sloppy Knees" Walton. I know he has a MVP with Portland and a couple of Chips with the Blazers & Celtics. But his NBA career as a whole doesnt warrant him being on the list. But he is a top college player of All-time.

Anyone who doubts that never watched the man play at the height of his powers. 'Nique and McAdoo were two obvious omissions from the NBAs list. They both deserve it.
Dennis Rodman should get into the Hall eventually. He was an animal on the boards, and played hard every time he was on the floor.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheMegaGreg:</div><div class="quote_post">Dennis Rodman should get into the Hall eventually. Charles Barkley should also soon earn a spot in the HOF...he also was a very great rebounder and scorer.
i know he will most definently get in the hof but jordan is not in yet. though he will get in soon. but grant hill should be taken in cuz he was one of the best players in the league when he was in his prime years
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AA13:</div><div class="quote_post">Dominique and spudd webb should be in the hall of fame. Dennis johnson is another they overlooked.</div> Dominique will get in next year, I bet. I don't think he was eligible this year. And why Spud Webb? You don't get in the Hall for winning a dunk contest.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting durvasa:</div><div class="quote_post">And why Spud Webb? You don't get in the Hall for winning a dunk contest.</div> exactly. bernard king and adrian dantley were better players and are not even HOFers

But, I really don't think HOF should include what happened off the court. I think it should be soley based on what you did on the court. It shouldn't matter how many strange things Dennis did off the court, he was a great player, that's what matters in my opinion.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chungster:</div><div class="quote_post">Indeed. He should replace Scottie Pippen on the 50 Greatest Players list.</div> I kinda felt the same way at one point. Just never forgot about his attitude about Kukoc making the game winning shot. I mean the man won the game for them and he was bitter that he wasn't the option for the last shot. I know he was the star of the team with MJ retiring early. But he could've at least have been happy for Kukoc. Tony had to play it off like everything was good but it wasn't. Anyways, he did deserve it. 3 championships already during the time and being a great all around player. Nique should've replaced Walton like Henacy said.

He was also a very good rebounder for his size, and a good shot blocker. He led his Bullets team to a championship. And he ended his career as an exceptional role player on those 80s Laker teams.
