LOL. But seriously, are we sure we want the Spurs instead of the Lakers? Tim Duncan has never lost in the first round. I kinda want the Lakers but I don't think one team is easier than the other.

In what world are the 2-time NBA champs going to lose in the first round? I posted this before, but if losing to Memphis means getting the Spurs over the Lakers, I'm going to lose that game.

I think it's more like Portland is tripping into their playoff seeding.

I think he was half-joking, but Nic mentioned his stellar record against Tony Parker in an interview with Casey on blazers.com today. (Overall: 7-2).

Even Aldridge has a decent record vs. Duncan.

    TANK FOR 8!

I really don't want to get swept by LA with all those bandwagon bitches in the RG.

I'm so fucking angry at the Blazers right now. We didn't care enough to play agressive defense against the Warriors, and that's why we lost. They shit away a golden opportunity to face Dallas and instead we're left with either facing the L*kers or Spurs. Hello first round exit.

Sometimes I think the team lacks what it takes to actually be a winner. They almost seem to be content with constant mediocrity. At this point, just end of the charade, and let's welcome the lock-out.

I'm coming around to that point of view. We don't seem to have a killer instinct.

If they do have a 'killer instinct' it sure takes naps for LONG stretches of time.

So you want our team to be cowards?? You don't win a title by running from a fight.

Remember when the L*kers rested their players against us before the 91 playoffs because they knew they'd get blown out and didn't want to give us the confidence? Remember what happened when we faced the L*kers in that series? I wouldn't call them cowards; I'd call them smart.

Huh? I want the team to have the best chance of advancing in the playoffs. Recent history shows that either the Spurs or the Mavs are a better match-up for the Blazers. I'd rather have the 6th or 8th seed over the 7th seed. Why would that make the Blazers "cowards"?

Why are you so angry lately, KS? First the odd ZBO thread, and now this.

When you're more famous/popular than Travis (and even BO) Outlaw, you can pretty much do whatever the hell you damned well please.

    Duh - obvious.

    2. Lakers/Mavericks/Thunder
    3. Lakers/Mavericks/Thunder
    4. Lakers/Mavericks/Thunder
    5. Nuggets/Blazers/Hornets/Grizzlies
    6. Nuggets/Blazers/Hornets/Grizzlies
    7. Nuggets/Blazers/Hornets/Grizzlies

    East
    1. Bulls/Celtics/Heat

    4. Magic
    5. Hawks/Knicks
    6. Hawks/Knicks/Sixers
    7. Knicks/Sixers
    8. Pacers

IF Chicago beats Boston tonight, they clinch the #1 seed and a matchup will be set in stone: Bulls vs Pacers

I do remember that but you're talking about something else. The Lakers weren't trying to avoid us. They were just trying to get rest. What yup are talking about is resting our guys in an effort to avoid playing the Lakers. That is not how true champions think. And oh yea, those 91 Lakers? They lost in the Finals in 5 games.

Not angry. Excited. It is cowardly to specifically manipulate your record to avoid a team you think is better than you. True champions want to play the best and beat them. That's what the playoffs are about. Proving you're the best in the league.

Also- I don't see the evidence that our current Blazers squad matches up any better against a healthy and rested Spurs team than the Lakers. Don't be so in love with our regular season results against these teams. That means nothing. Why so afraid of the Lakers? We have talented length in Camby and Aldridge to go against Bynum and Gasol. We have Matthews, Batum, AND Wallace to throw at Kobe. And we have the better point guard. If I were the Lakers, I'd be fucking terrified of us.

    Exactly.
