What? Since when does Vince not have any freedom on offense? He takes a lot of shots, and many of the plays are run through him. I'm just curious as to how many Raptor games you've been watching this season, because I think your interpretation of Kevin O'neil is wrong. I agree that Butch Carter was a good coach, but I believe everything happens for a reason, and in this case, maybe the firing of Butch Carter was a good thing. Lenny got us past the Knicks, and into the second round of the playoffs, which was a major accomplishment for the Raptors. When Lenny was fired, Kevin O'neil brought us what we needed: defense, and thats exactly what he did. For the first 10 games or so we played great defensively, however our offense was in the gutter. The man you want fired fixed that solution (Glen Grunwald) by bringing in Rose, Marshall and Baxter. Why would you want him fired after he did such a good trade? Now the Raptors are 5th in the Eastern Conference, how could you be THAT unhappy with the decisions made by the organization?

actually...jyd has a point. The only thing that is keeping GG from not getting fired is the blockbuster trade he managed to pull off. Before that, he made many terrible moves and everyone wondered when he would get fired. Also, i think O'Neil is a good coach, but his bench rotations and decisions on substituting and developing players are not very good.
The raptors are headed towards the playoffs and this guy is callin for his head?? Some fans can be extremely fickle at times.
What the hell are you talking about ?!! IMO, Kevin O'Neill is the coach the Raptors always wanted ! Hard nosed, definsive, hard worker, doesn't take non-sense, players love him, and he defines the term " Tough Love " ! .. Butch created many many problems between the Players, most of them hated him .. Lenny is a legendary coach .. but when he came here, he didn't take full control of the squad ! BTW .. every coach calls the plays from the bench .. and they use symbols like ( X down ) .. or ( Square Left ) .. so how the hell the other team would know ? .. I shouldn't even have to explain that ! GG absolutly deserves a contract extension, did you forget the Trade he made on the Draft night to get Vince for Jamison , who turned out to be our best player ever .. what about Moe Pete .. we had the 21st draft pick, and because of his excelent work and his excelent staff Moe Pete turned out to be in the ALL ROOKIE FIRST TEAM at that year ... He's the one who traded Damon Stoudmire for Alvin Williams when he knew that Damon wouldn't help the team any more .. many people questioned that trade, but man was he right ! GG's only bad move was not resigning T-Mac, and I presonally think it wasn't his fault, the people around Tracy had a huge impact on his decescion, and his agent at that time Mr.Smith is from Orlando, and he convinced T-Mac to go to Orlando ! The Raptors offered T-Mac the maximum contract at that time $92 million dollars, where the maximum contract he would get if he went to any other team is 72 million, and he still chose not to resign ! Did you forget that GG is the one who resigned Vince while many many teams ( Some of them were championship contenders ) where offering him huge deals, but he still managed to resign him ! And last but not least, in a 2 years span, he turned around an awfull ,16-66 team, to an excelent, entertaining team who was one shot away of the Eastern Confrence Finals .. So I don't know why you said what you said .. because any fan who has followed and supported the team for a long time knows these visible facts .. Next time you have a point , you better support it with facts !
