<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Kentucky appears to be a week away from getting its first oral commitment for the class of 2006. After taking a visit to UK over the weekend, 6-foot-3 point guard Michael Porter arrived home in Modesto, Calif., with the same feelings he had for the school during the visit. "I loved it," Porter said Monday afternoon over the phone. "That's where I want to go. The whole few days I was there I was thinking it was pretty much a done deal. But I didn't want to decide off emotions. I wanted to think about it more and make sure I wanted to go there after I got home, and I do." Porter visited UK along with teammate Adrian Oliver, a 6-4 combo guard. The two will be seniors this fall at Modesto Christian High School, the alma mater of former UK player Chuck Hayes, and are coached by Porter's father, Gary.</div> Source
I wouldn't mind having him at all. The last time a guy from Medesto was on the team, it went very well. I do think Tubby doesn't need to just start gathering players up just yet, unless it's Greg Oden or some of the other top players in the 2006 class.
