Assume they are all healthy. Base your vote on guys on the team right now, and whatever expectations you have for the rest of the season (whether it's win now or building for the future). You have to vote to see totals. We're currently on a 5 loss streak, so clearly something has to change.
I opted for Aminu and Collins. I think Collins is our power forward of the future, and a perfect fit at that position. Aminu gives us size and spacing--a true 3 and D guy at small forward.
Vonleh is playing too good to get the minimal minutes that he is. Alomg with Aminu at the three. Collins to be a starter once he has a little more seasoning from coming off of the bench for a little while longer.
Because I want to see it happen just once... TRIPLE IVORY TOWERS: Leonard at PF, Collins at SF, Nurkic at C. Crowd the paint, switch on everything, and bombs away from three. Our defensive scheme: Have fun shooting everything from 22 feet.
i picked Aminu and Vonleh. Aminu for his defense and Vonleh because when him and Nurkic play side by side, they are actually pretty good and compliment each other pretty well. on the other hand, Davis has the highest plus/minus out of all the bigs on our team. and it's not even close.
I feel like the only way to possibly salvage the season with the current roster construction is to start Collins at PF next to Nurkic... this would give us a unique size advantage vs most teams, plus floor spacing since Collins can hit 3... should be huge boost on defense. I hope Stotts considers this because I really feel his job is on the line...
Aminu is the closest thing we have to serviceable wing and Collins has shown enough to learn as we go. Jeez, those are some pretty lame options.
I only voted for Vonleh, because nobody deserves to start at SF. I picked Vonleh over Collins for two reasons: (1) seniority, and (2) determine Vonleh's value. Vonleh is young, improving (incrementally), and so the PF is his spot to lose. Also, we have to determine what Vonleh's value is. Is he a long-term rotation player that we want to hold and re-sign this summer? Will his improvement throughout the season make him a valuable commodity on the trade market? It is these questions, more so than simple seniority, that put him above Collins at the moment. All that said, I do expect Collins to be our starting PF soon. But for the time being it would be wiser to start Vonleh.
I was going to choose Vonleh and Collins because I read the question wrong... but I love me some vonleh. But, I said Collins and Aminu, just because Aminu can actually do some things offensively. But Collins/Vonleh rotation makes me so happy. GIVE VONLEH MORE MINUTES, DAMNIT.
I want Collins and Turner. Collins add the 3rd shooter, Turner adds the 3rd ball handler. Both play defense. I think this is going to be interesting to see given the current roster.
