<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Dallas Mavericks have assigned forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu to their NBA Development League affiliate, the Fort Worth Flyers.

Mensah-Bonsu, 6-9, 240, has played in one game this season for the Mavericks (vs. Washington on 11/21) and grabbed one rebound in three minutes. He was signed by the Mavericks on August 3, 2006 as a free agent.</div>
Good move. Let the young fella go down there and get his feet wet, and actually play in games. Mensah-Bonsu is a solid young player, pretty good for an undrafted rookie IMO. I think he has potential to be a decent energy guy off the bench in the future. I don't think he'll ever be a 6th or 7th man, but I think he has a chance to be that solid energy guy as like a 10th man.
