Maybe a first round pick or two would get it done. I know its not our style but he is one of my favorite backs in the league and I would love to have him on our squad. Here is his quote from todays AP

"If I don't feel like going to camp, if I don't feel like the situation
is right for me, I won't be there," Portis said in Honolulu, where he's
preparing for his first Pro Bowl. "If there is one organization I can
picture myself with it's New England, I'd play for them for this money
and hope to win a ring, man..says Portis, those dudes are straight up
    crazy winners".

I noticed Al Wilson and Ian Gold are also free agents this year. Any Denver fans have any insight on what will be done with the free agents you have cus I know there are a couple other guys that are free agents as well.

I seriously doubt Denver will let go of Portis, but I hate the fact that We will most likely have to let either Gold or Wilson go. IMO, I think we will let Wilson go because other teams will have some hefty salary offers to give him unless we put the tag on him... Of course, I wouldn't mind getting two first round picks for the P-man. Doesn't New England have like seven picks in the first four rounds this year??

Ya glenso has it right on our picks. We have some to burn and if things ever went sour in denver for portis I would welcome it in a second. I doubt they would let him go too but I just thought I'd share the quote I read because it was pretty intresting. I wish we get a hold of al wilson and have him and bruschi playing the middle in the 3-4 but that would be a dream. I'll settle for vilma in the draft should they decide to go LB.
