Wow -- I never thought I would see this, and it was a home game too. If UCLA loses to #10 Butler the Bruins will be 2-3. Is Howlund's job safe? I would think so, but this aint a good way to start the season. http://www.oregonlive.com/pilots/index.ssf/2009/11/portland_pilots_clobber_ucla_7.html http://www.dailybruin.com/articles/2009/11/26/ucla-loses-portland-76-classic-74-47/
Portland look like a great experienced team that should make some noise out of the WCC. So far the WCC has looked great, could you imagine if Patty Mills came back for Saint Mary's? WOW. As for UCLA, they are just really young and inexperienced like much of the Pac-10. I wouldn't be one bit surprised at this point if Washington runs the table as an undefeated team if they can get to Pac-10 untouched, that's how bad the Pac-10 is at this point. When Arizona is projected to finish 3rd with the roster they have right now, you know its a pathetic time.
