Just found out that James Posey got arrested this morning for DUI. This really sucks but I think Riley will give him another chance.

That's the difference between a great coach and a mediocore coach. Riley's gonna prolly sit Posey down and give him a talk, after that I'm sure they'll put it behind them. If this a JVG player, he'd set outta the rotation and deactived from the team.

dont forget, the same thing happened to robert hite earlier this year and hes not even on the team anymore. then again, posey's just a liiiitle bit more valuable than an unproven rookie, haha. hopefully everythings alright.

Hite was cut because of the addition of Eddie Jones.

Your right there is a huge differance between a great coach, and a mediocre coach. When a great coach loses his best player he takes a leave of absence for "knee surgery", while also stating if they were winning he wouldn't have had the surgery. Meanwhile, a mediocre coach loses his best player, and coaches his team to a 50 win season.

Everyone in this thread is making Riley seem like a push over. Let's not forget this is the same guy that deactivated both Walker and Posey for being one or two percent high on body fat.

Posey means to much to Miami's title run for Riley to suspend him...it won't happen...

ONE person mentioned riley before you came in! what do you mean EVERYONE is making him look like a push over. and regarding the body fat, that shows that hes in charge and has strict rules and guidelines, both of which are good characteristics of a coach. plus, as fas as i can remember, posey and walker THANKED him for it.

Two out of the three people who had posted in the thread mentioned Riley, and the other person that didn't was you. Both the people that talked about him did so speaking of him as if he would be lenient on Posey. I'm not saying that Riley being strict is a bad thing, I'm basically reminding people that he is not someone who lets things slide. So your basically preaching to the quire right now.

Not to mention Riley really has nothing to lose by suspending Posey at this point. The Heat are not going to lose their lead in the division with Arenas and Butler out in Washington, nor will the Heat move up to the three or second seed. So they are basically just waiting for the playoffs and playing out the season right now.

Miami still have a good shot at the 3rd seed which would mean avoiding Detroit in round two. Which is what they would rather do. That way Wade has more time to heal for the conference finals. Playing a team like Detroit early is not a good idea.

Miami still are playing for alot.

On a side note, James Posey is such an idiot. Can't stand the guy.

we do have a small chance at the 3 seed, which would be awesome. we're only 2 games back, meaning that if toronto loses some of their final games, and we win some of ours, we go up to 3. not likely based on toronto's schedule, but they do face detroit 2 more times, so there is hope.

<font color=""Orange"">They are lucky to have Detroit twice at the end of the season. When we played them, they were still playing to maintain that top seed, now they have just about got it. They will rest a few of their good players, and Toronto will beat them. We will play Detroit in the second round.</font>
