<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Right, Curry. The consensus around the NBA is the Bulls will stick with Curry and Tyson Chandler and try to grow their nucleus. The history of championship teams is the main players don't mature to that level until they're about 28, like last season's Pistons. But Curry, who seems the key to all this decision-making, is essentially the player he has been for the last two seasons. Whether it's dislike or motivation, coach Scott Skiles seems to come down hardest regularly on Curry. It has been almost humorous, except perhaps to Curry, to hear Skiles suggest Curry merely benefited from his teammates when Curry was 10-for-14 against the Mavericks last week. Skiles also made a point to say Jared Reiner was the only Bull who could guard Shaquille O'Neal when Curry was lifted against the Heat, and Curry sat out the last 16 minutes against the Rockets last week. So does Curry fit the kind of team the Bulls want to develop, perhaps an active team with Chandler at center like the 1977 Portland Trail Blazers with Bill Walton? Maybe Curry could go to Seattle. The Sonics could give up shooting guard Ronald Murray, bruiser Collison and perhaps a draft pick to replace the one the Bulls gave up for Luol Deng. Acquiring Murray would allow Kirk Hinrich to move to point guard. What about the Suns, another team that talked to the Bulls this season about their big men? Maybe Phoenix could give back the draft pick they got from the Bulls, shooter Joe Johnson and perhaps Steven Hunter. It comes down to the Bulls' vision, and the likelihood now is that would include Curry.</div> Source
I don't see Curry going anywhere. He's getting better in most categories. He's done good scoring the ball this year and good overall offensively. The only knock on him is his lack of defense and rebounding. But, when that's what Tyson Chandler does best, what's the worry? But, in all likelyhood, it'll all come to him eventually. He just needs to get a better work ethic and actually do a little more defensively.

To his credit, he's having a solid season and has been consistent. Maybe Curry has simply matured, but in the back of my mind I think he's motivated more for the money this year than actually becoming a quality player in the league. Prior to this season, his work ethic was non-existent. And like the article points out, does Curry fit into the active style team the Bulls are building?
