I read this trade scenario and I don't think the Hornets are going to trade Jamaal Magloire. They see him as a building block for their franchise. Plus they trade down 6 spots to #10 and only add Butler and Harpring to show for it? That is a terrible trade for the Hornets. I think they would demand a Center or PF back if they pull the trigger on Magloire. If they put Magloire on the block they can get much better offers.
Why would we trade CARON AND 10 for 4 when we can get a 5 and the 10. If that happens were probably drafting Deron Williams.
The trade with Charlotte makes most sense because because you would be getting a great guard unless atlanta takes paul portland takes williams and no takes ray then ud be really screwed, but that will most likely not happen so it seems like a good trade

Lakers trade to Bobcats: 1st Round Draft Pick (10) G/F Caron Butler Bobcats trade to Lakers: 1st Round Draft Pick (5) 1st Round Draft Pick (13) ---------------------------- That trade entices me. Not only could we grab a top-tier PG like Felton or Williams with the 5 pick, we could grab a big with the 13th pick. This draft is PG -- PF rich, we can't let this go to waste. Mitch, you better not F this up.
That above trade makes me laugh, Since when was Caron Butler worth two lottery picks? the guy is a soild role player and really the Bobcats would be able to get alot more than just that. If the Bobcats were going to give those picks up that easily I'm sure the Suns could offer them Q or Shawn Marion for those lottery picks.
Besides that, Bickerstaff isn't really looking to trade both picks now..especially not for JUST Butler.
Well actually he is, he wants the 2nd pick and has offered the 5th and 13th for the 2nd. Although Atlanta seem so high on Marvin Williams that It will be tough to pull that deal off.

With Caron Butler's rookie contract about to expire, I doubt he would re-sign with the Bobcats. Those 2 draft picks can fetch far better deals than just Butler and #10.

He tore it up and he got injured his sophmore season. Then as we all know that he got traded for Shaq but he is a great player and he is still young remember that. He came out after his sophmore year. He could develop into a great player and could be a potential all star. This trade is better for the Lakers though because they get a shot at Paul, Williams or Felton and then they could take Vasquez with the 13 if he slips down.

He shot around 40% for around 15 points per game on a very bad team which couldn't score to save their lifes. He had a good rookie season. He also had the chance to shoot the ball alot during that season, due to Miami being so bad. He is a good player not a great one, that most teams would like to have on their team but he isn't a star and never likely will be one. Just a nice piece to have on a team.
No need to trade up for a pg jack will be there if Mitch's main concern is a pg. Williams and Felton aren't that much better than Jarret Jack that we need to trade up to get one of them. I keep saying this but Jack is a better fit for LA. He is low matenience. Bring the ball up, play defense, and hit open shots...GEEZ what else do yall want.
