Ok everyone, thanks to our dumb ass manager who sat petrified in his dugout and didn't make the right move until too late and our unclutch in the clutch hitters which has been the case all season what moves would you like to see in the off season towards next year. We obviously need via trade or free agency to get a stud type pitcher and if andujar is going to be taken out in the middle of the game or sat completely as in game 4 for his defense (which is pretty bad especially his throwing) maybe he is a chip in a trade for one of these pitchers. Someone mentioned a trade with stanton which i have no problem with but he has a no trade and the only place hell go is the dodgers who I have no idea if they even want him and if they do what pitching they might have to trade for him. The coffers are open now that the season is over is open and I expect cashman to spend like he did in 2009. If they trade andujar, machado becomes the top target to replace him. Imo gardner need to be bought out as well. Need a new left fielder or maybe thats stanton possibly making voit the dh which is what he is and we find a lefty hitting first baseman although I think they probably give bird one last shot before totally giving up on him.

They need a top of the order guy who can get on base and steal some bases at a 390 to 400 on base%.
I wouldn't mind seeing Stanton traded but it isn't going to happen. If we can move Andjuar for a top of the order young pitcher I would be in favor of him and Frazier to get back a young stud. Dont think that is happening anytime soon either.

We need to see Chance Adams take a huge step this year and Sheffield. Maybe German becomes more consistent (I think he has the ability).

To me there is no real quick fix here. Need a top of the order guy that isnt feast or famine...a stud young pitcher and for Torres to be Torres of the first half.

A better year from Sanchez and full non injuried year from Judge and perhaps we arent playing a wild card game and games 1 and 2 are at Yankee Stadium...

Patrick Corbin and Manny Machado are both going to be Yankees.

Andujar & Torres should be retained, both good bats & their fielding will improve. Gardner will most likely be bought out & replaced by Frazier.

Stanton isn't getting traded so it's not worth the time even discussing it. The Yankees will need another quality starter and then hope one of the kids (Adams or Sheffield) can make an impact. Forgotten was the tough break of Montgomery having to have TJ surgery. Going into next season they have Severino and Tanaka. They would be wise to try and bring Happ back if it's a reasonable contract. I know he got roughed up in game one but he's still a quality arm they will need. If you go into next season with Tanaka, Severino, Happ, a quality free agent or traded for starter and one of the kids. They will be in pretty good shape. Bullpen wise have to resign either Robinson or Britton.

Yankees need a #1 & #2 starters. Corbin is not the answer. He’s a younger Happ, a #3 at best.
I do not expect CC to be retained. Happ may not want to stay in pinstripes. Everything is conjecture.
A leadoff hitter who actually can play small ball and get on base. Bird and Frazier should be given
a more solid chance at their respective positions. Voit would be perfect RDH; had trouble with sinkers
and sliders. Sox exposed his hitting weaknesses. As for Stanton, he’s been an enigma. His at bats with RISP
were abysmal. He never established himself as the “go to guy” in the lineup. His Ks were frequent, well over
    220 Ks.

Management wise, this team needs new faces. Apparent needs have not been met in the last few years.
The owners are totally lacking visible support. A GM who makes moves, most being questionable and his
greatest error was selecting a manager with no experience.....a “yes man who would fall in line with
GM’s moves.” No supportive leadership anywhere in management. And the lack of leadership trickled
down to the players. And it showed on the field. Who in this organization has the knowhow to select
    people who can lead?

I can't remember how many years Ellsbury was signed for but the Yankees need to get rid of him to clear a roster spot. Stanton is also an albatross and the old Stealers Wheel Song "Stuck In the Middle with you" comes to play. Stanton was completely useless in critical situation of important game. He was so bad that I thought he was failing on purpose. If Happ is reasonable give him a shot but let Lynn go and trade that asshat Sonny Gray. And yeah Montgomery shoud be back, I like the that kid hope he comes back fine. No to Harper & Machado, they are getting older and want huge salaries. Let them go anywhere else. A lot of money will be coming off of the books lets see it spent wisely.

I really like Mongomery but with the 12-18 month recovery. He could be out until anywhere from the middle of next season to missing it all together.

Need to have assets to trade for young stud pitcher. Andujar can go in such a trade and yanks sign machado who just turned 26 and easily upgrades third and is a gold glover there. They need a lefty batter to balance the lineup and since money is no longer an object the 26 year old harper can be signed to play left field. Gardy needs to go and though I like frazier he just has too many concussions to be a long term answer imo. He can be added with andujar and another bat to get that young pitcher, Snell would be great if we can pry him out of tampa and the young hitters back is what tampa would want for him. Corbin will be a target but he doesn't seem to be anymore than a number 3 starter. seve, tanaka, need sheffield to make and flourish in rotation, a trade and a free agent to complete the rotation. Boone needs to go and with buck available hopefully Hal finds his balls and tells cashman to make the move and if he doesn't fires him also. Yanks need some aggressive moves to get them over the top as they sit on the precipice right now.

Unfortunately, Yankee owners are keeping Cashman. Imagine Trashman still not building the starting pitching.
Keeping CC & Happ. Even keeping Gardner. Even keeping Boone because Booney will listen and obey
Trashman to the hilt. He will be loyal to the company policies. NOT LOOKING FORWARD
    TO THIS SCENARIO NEXT YEAR!

Whatever anyone thinks about Cashman, how do you justify this GM not developing good talented
pitchers in the Yankee farm system? What doesn’t he and his scouts know that other teams know?
This situation is ongoing for too long......with no accountability. Yet, many are asking, “Who is Cashman
going to obtain in a trade to be the Yankee ace?” The guy hasn’t pulled the trigger in getting one, but he
hasn’t developed many in all his years as Yankee GM.

    Re-sign Happ
    Sign FA Corbin
Hopefully make a trade for a fantastic starting pitcher (like deGrom)

My guesses (or actually, my hopes): Gardy, CC, Gray walk or get traded.

Yankees deal Du and Frazier for a young ace.

Yankees sign FA's Harper (replaces Gardy and may be an option at first base during his contract), Machado (replaces Du), Corbin (#3 behind Sevy and Tank), Dallas Keuchel (to replace CC in the rotation) and finish out the rotation with the young ace they get for Du and Frazier or by resigning of Happ.

Monty will probably miss the 2019 season altogether or come back and have a down year (ineffective) getting used to MLB batters again.

Resign David Robertson, Zack Britton to go along with Chappy, Dellin, Green and Holder in the pen. Maybe Tarpley surprises us and becomes a shut down lefty reliever. We saw how important the bull pen is to winning.

Robby is still a top of the line reliever.

As far as a leadoff hitter with a high OBP and speed, we may have enough pitching in the system to get one.

Our two biggest rivals top pitchers are not home grown either...

    Sale, porcello, price, evolde....
    Verlander, cole, morton, keuchel...

Out of those top 8...1 was drafted by their current team.

Yankees swung and miss on sunney grey..it would be nice to see a home grown yankee starter come up through the ranks but isnt required to be a championship team.

Sign Dallas Kackel, after all the shit he's talked about the "Evil Empire, sign Clubhouse Cancer Harper no way. Let Abdujar go and sign Machado again no way. The young players the Yankees have may need additional defensive improvements but they are skilled, cheap, and built for a long run. I was glad to see the Yankees get away from the trillions of dollars crap, Wanna buy something, get a pitcher, There are lower level trades and cash to be done. Gardner & CC will be coming off of the books. Trashman would curry a lot of favor if he could figure out how to move Stanton and get Ellsbury gone as well.

If Janis Joplin were still with us and a Yankees Fan she'd have done "Mercedes Benz" like so.

Oh Hal, please hire us, a brand new GM,
Cashmans a flake, the fans are tired of him,
Wrap him in concrete, for a Harlem River swim,
Oh Hal, please find us, a brand new GM.
