<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Former Cal forward Leon Powe is skipping the NBA predraft camp in Orlando, Fla. The camp, which began Tuesday and runs through Saturday, gives potential selections for the NBA draft a chance to showcase their skills for general managers, scouts and coaches. In most cases, players who believe they are a lock to be picked in the first round don't play in the camp. Powe said he and his agent, Aaron Goodwin, decided not to play because of the low quality of competition. "There's nobody playing," Powe said. "It wasn't going to help me." Powe, a second team All-American last season who is forgoing his final two years of eligibility to enter the June 28 draft, has had individual workouts with the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers, New York Knicks and Sacramento Kings. He has more workouts scheduled with the Seattle SuperSonics, Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers. "We're getting good feedback," Powe said. "I've been doing well at every workout. I just have to keep the momentum going. Personally, I feel like I'm a first-round pick." Most projections have Powe being picked late in the first round or early in the second.</div> Source
