Anyone live down here in SoCal keep getting power outages? It's starting to piss me off. It seems like we get 2 or 3 everyday and it shuts down the computer, tv, and all electricity.
I live in NoCal and we just had one yesterday lasted for about 6 hours, came back on around 11....... Went off again around 4:30 in the morning and cambe back on around 5:30..... With no wind around, it made it hotter than hell.
We had power outages early from 11PM to about 7AM down here in Irvine. Something bizzare is going on though, yesterday I was down in Santa Monica and one of the electrical transformers blew out and wiped out all the power on the left side of the block. Then last night I was watching the news and New York also had a transformer go out about a week ago and is still down.
I actually enjoy the heat wave, but it's been too humid lately. I prefer the dry heat, to high humidity levels. It sucks because you take a shower, and you feel like taking another one once you step outside.

It's hot as hell, plus it's very humid. So as soon as you step outside, you start sweating.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Zoltar:</div><div class="quote_post">it's not too cold in Iowa either ive heard, SOcal is hot but my house is nice and cool</div>It hasn't been too bad lately actually. Last few days have been in the low 80s to high 70s with little to no humidity. We've had some pretty bad days though. Like last when we had back to back days of aobut 95deg with a heat index of about 115.

You guys are complaining about this humidity? Go live in the south for a summer, go live back east for a summer. They have this every day from spring - halfway through fall. Although, I do agree, this humidity is disgusting.

I don't mind the heat at all, but having to dress in a shirt and tie in this weather is the absolute worst. I also can't stand using the A/C and we have it blasting all day long. Fortunately I'll be out of the country by this weekend for two weeks. Hold down the fort TBM and Trench!
yep, we got this forum in check shape. No Doubt. We get alot of rain. Actually the monsoon just started in July and Runs through December. We'll get anywhere from 80-100 inches of rain between that time. Sometimes more.. The past couple weeks feels like a moved to Seattle minus the cold with all this rain.
