He's not taking any of the starters minutes, he won't take Songaila or AD's minutes, and Etan Thomas is a C, so that should get him minutes since Songaila won't take up all the backup minutes there.

He plays more on the perimeter than in the post. I figure Hayes will miss at least 25+ games, probably half the seaosn. That's where his minutes will come out. Eddie Jordan and EG are both quoted as saying their very excited about Blatche's stellar play. I think he'll see a fair amount of minutes.
I'm penciling him at SF, and playing a perimeter PF role, not as a post guy, but it'll be hard for him to get minutes at the guards spots. We can just put Arenas as 82 games and 41-42 MPG, that leaves 6-7 MPG to backup at PG. AD will take all those, and AD will need another 19-20 minutes on the floor. Those minutes will likely come from the guard spots, so if Deshawn is playing 26 MPG as a guard, there's like 1-2 MPG left at the guard spots. I considered Daniels and Deshawn missing like 7 games each, giving another 371 minutes at guard, so that's another 4.5 MPG at the guard spots. So at guard there will be about 5.5-6.5 MPG available through the 82 games. Let's say Blatche gets those minutes for the 21 games Hayes is out, that's 137 mins, 1.7 MPG. So all Blatche has is SF/PF to truly get minutes at. We can put in Jamison for 82 games with about 38-39 MPG. That leaves about 9-10 MPG at PF which Songaila should take almost all of. We can put Caron in for 36-37 MPG for 75-78 games, outside of the one season he's been quite durable, so there's 11-12 MPG left at SF, and counting Caron's predicted missed games (let's say 6), another 216 minutes, so 2.6 MPG. Total from the forward spots, there's an extra 23.6 MPG. So let's say Songaila takes 10 MPG, and plays the rest of his minutes at C in smaller lineups, so there's 13.6 MPG left. If Hayes plays 61 games and plays something like 17 MPG, he already has 6.5 MPG from SG, so he'll need another 10.5 MPG from forward. So that leaves 3.1 MPG. Now we have him missing 21 games, so left from forward is another 220 minutes, 2.7 MPG. So 1.7+3.1+2.7+minutes due to Songaila missing some games, and it's about 11 MPG. This is also neglecting the fact that in some matchups guys like Ruffin and other guys will also get some minutes. So the way he will get minutes is obviously like we said if Hayes goes down for an extended period or time, OR, if he passes Hayes on the depth chart. Even with that, max I see barring no other injury is 15-17 MPG for him, so I can't see him putting up double figure scoring numbers.
lol, I don't want to hope for a Jarvis injury, or any other injury, so let's just hope Blatche plays so well he surpasses Jarvis in the rotation at big guard/SF.
