Teel will obviously start at quarterback. The real battle here will be for back-up roles. Natale is supposedly healing quite well from his soldier surgery and has added some extra weight to his already impressive frame. I think he will be a very reliable back-up to Teel and figures to be the front runner for the starting spot next year. CPE has displayed the strongest arm of all the quarterbacks and has left the personal troubles that haunted him his freshman year behind. He will be a nice change of pace quarterback throughout the season. I have Jabu last because he didn't show anything at all last year to prove that he can be a D-1 quarterback. At fullback, both Corcoran and Morales will split time. Both will see an equal share of the field, IMO. At running back, I think Mason and Brooks will split the carries equally at the start of the year because of Kordell's recovery from injury. Once Young gets back to full health though, who knows who gets the bulk of the carries. Don't be surprised to see Young regain the top spot once he's back. The offensive line is wide open aside from Anthony Davis and Blaze. I think Haslem is the obvious choice to line up next to AD as he's our next most experienced lineman. You'd have to think Ruch has the advantage at RG considering he almost started over Blaze last year as a true frosh. With an extra year under his belt, I think he will most likely start. Then comes right tackle. I honestly have no idea who to put here. Gilmartin is a 5th year senior, so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. But don't be surprised to see red shirt freshman Stapleton and Muldrow push for starting time. True freshman Forst may also push for the starting spot since he's enrolled early and is already practicing with the team. On the defensive line, both Tverdov and Westerman are obvious starters. The other two spots are up in the air, IMO. Any one of Watts, Johnson, or Silvestro could start at DE, and don't be surprised to see red shirt freshman Wayne Thomas push for time at defensive tackle, as he's our biggest d-lineman. The linebacker corps is pretty set, if you ask me. Malast is returning as the second leading tackler from a year ago and D'Imperio has MLB guaranteed. Bines would have played a large role last year had he not broken his jaw (twice). Look for him to take up the remaining spot. The back-ups are nice and young and could push for some time; Abreu, LeGrand, and Lowery are the starters of the future. And at DB, there's really not much to talk about. Three of four starters return, including Courtney Greene, who could potentially be the top safety taken in next year's draft. Lefeged and Lee will vie for the SS spot, with Lefeged likely coming out on top. True freshman Khaseem Greene will be Courtney Greene's replacement come next year.
