Let's face it. We're two games into the regular season, and your team is toast! What team(s) do you think is going to be trading away veterans to the real contenders for prospects?

If Baldelli ever overcomes his genetic disorder which doesnt allow him to recover after fatigue, the Rays would love to trade him to a contender for something in return. Baldelli is a great hitter, but he is the most injury prone player to ever play in the MLB. He strained the same hamstring 6 times in one season.

Interesting. I would think the Rays would try so hard to improve on their record that they would be reluctant to give up anyone. And considering Baldelli's injury troubles, I don't know how much they would get for him.

My picks are the Reds and the White Sox. I don't see how the Reds are going to stay competitive with the pitching they have. I know the NL Central isn't the best division, but they just don't have enough good arms to stay in it. I could see them moving Ken Griffey Jr to a contender that needs a bat. Edwin Encarnacion could get moved, as well.
The White Sox are a little lacking in the starting pitching department as well, and they have a bunch of guys on the downside of their careers. They would love to trade Joe Crede right now, but if they fall out of it they might trade one or two of Konerko, Thome, Dye, Pierzynski, and or Orlando Cabrera.

I read somewhere that the pirates would probably unload Nady, Bay, & few others.

    Rays buy out Baldelli

The sad thing is now he will probably sign w/ this Red Sox and have a great year.

The first thought I had was the White Sox. They have some good vets, but a crappy team overall.
